We occasionally hear from viewers who say we're showing disrespect for the President when we call him Mister. It's actually just the opposite and is a sign of respect. It's in the Association Press Style Book that most tv stations follow.
The death on Saturday of Kent Hunter was the first incident of losing someone I know to covid. Kent spent some time as a KRCG Sports employee and became a friend to many of us. His death is a shock and the realization that the coronavirus isn't going away anytime soon.

Lincoln's birthday was never a national holiday but most of us honor him along with Washington on this day. Still, some states celebrate the two separately and some southern states aren't keen to praise Lincoln. So is it Presidents' Day or President's Day? Officially neither.
Despite what some are saying, Presidents' Day does not honor all our presidents. There is no official Presidents' Day! Congress tried but failed in 1968 to honor both Washington and Lincoln and only managed to move Washington's Birthday to the third Monday in February.

Our "Number of the Day"had to do with the popularity of Alexander Hamilton, which caused Elyse to start rapping a song from the musical "Hamilton". I had to comment that we had "trouble with a capital t and rhymes with p".
Behind the scenes this morning: @DickKRCG13 & I had a rap battle of #MusicMan vs @HamiltonMusical. You could say, “Oh we got trouble,” because “I’m taking this horse by the reigns making red coats redder with blood stains.”

I've had David McCullough's massive biograpy "Truman" for ages. Thanks to a 10-hour power outage Saturday, I finally decided to tackle it. I've now made it to page 225.... only about 700 pages to go!
