@MaioccoNBCS Whatever the reason, Santa Clara has bad injury juju. We see it for opposing teams too. The 49ers need to pack it up and move back to SF. A stadium on Treasure Island, with ferries bringing fans from all over the Bay, would be the coolest experience in the NFL.
@Top100Rick We added a “local rule” for this in our yearly golf trip group that I think is reasonably sound for our level of competition on these trips. We do a Ryder Cup inspired team competition over 5 rounds (just got back from Bandon). Thoughts on our rule as written?
@TheParTrain Vegas Format: Stroke play. Two person teams. Each hole you make a combined double digit score per team. Ex: P1 shoots 6; P2 shoots 4. Combined score is 46 for the hole. Lower score is always first digit. Higher hcps can be carried by their teammate and momentum can shift rapidly.
@notRJdavis I’m a 2 and use GPS with slope adjustment. I like seeing the map/hole layout for determining strategy, especially at new-to-me courses, and I’m rarely firing at pins. Plus the pin is usually out anyway when I’m planning my approach because the group in front has pulled it.
@tweeth_mitchell Happiness depends on which direction you’re headed. I knew a former 2 who, after being a 5 for a long time, basically quit the game. I’ve gone from 5 down to 2 recently and am quite satisfied. But the happiest golfer I know went from 17 to 10 over a year.
@Top100Rick I like the big markers that contain a smaller marker inside. The big marker is useful when you’re further out, making it more obvious where your ball is so others don’t cross your line. And the small marker helps you stay out of the way when you’re closer.
@bigbcanada@BrianKirschner_ Former 10 year SF resident here — Harding is more expensive and tougher, but better overall. Presidio is fun too but more quirky and conditions are not as pristine.
