Our newsletter (songsbrew) recently had a chat with both @blossomsessions and @DifferentSauce, and from those we learned doing things a little differently, experimenting, avoiding things like buying streams. Fans are great at sniffing out fakery. Understand who, where and how your fans respond and build there. Open up a feedback loop, engage with your audience (like Gary Lightbody did with co-writing an album with fans), BTS content, longer form videos. The most impactful might take some work to find through trial and error, and working with the right people as early as possible to find those spaces.
