In a recent exclusive MSB Intel interview in the UAE:
DFINITY founder, Dominic Williams, said Pakistan is creating a national chat app on ICP infrastructure that will have +100M users.

🧵 The industry will probably keep pumping select L1s (HYPE, ZEC, NEAR, and some others)
The last 5 years has been a shell game with industry insiders
Pump one L1 for a little while. Then move to the next.
Getting the Crypto media to eagerly parrot new fake narratives.
I say this to say. If you want to swing trade. Go swing trade. I said this earlier in 2026 too about this same assets.
No clue when this will all finally blow up. But before 2030 seems very likely especially with advancements in AI.
Until then its a waiting game.
If you're not going to go play the casino. Then spending a bunch of time following "crypto" is 100% a waste.
You are just watching a fake industry run one of the largest ponzis in world history.
This is the last great cash grab before humans beings are forever replaced with machine intelligence.
Leeching off the system and being an extractor won't be a thing in the future. AI will fill all of those holes.

AI just proved that the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH) is false. Cryptography relies on ETH, but luckily this particular discovery doesn't threaten core algorithms yet. However, ETH was thought true for almost 30 years, and is highly relevant in the field. This illustrates how AI is the true threat to crypto and security, because it can move the ground under our feet, and it's here today.
Currently, many chains are promoting their migration to "quantum safe" signatures and other schemes. Meanwhile, cryptographically-relevant quantum computers won't be around for some years, and even when they are, they'll be specialized machines, requiring special environments, rather than easily accessible mass market devices, and it will be relatively easy for authorities and regulatory frameworks to control their use, at least initially. Renting them for the purposes of hacking won't be allowed, for obvious reasons (not that this is something we should rely upon, but it impacts any objective threat analysis).
However, there are dangers with adopting these schemes. The less well-studied and more complex a cryptography algorithm, the greater the chance that a sudden shift in our understanding of theoretical computer science or mathematics, or sophisticated analysis by AI, will suddenly reveal a catastrophic bug. The first real-world harbinger of the dangers occurred when AI found issues with HAWK, a quantum-safe algorithm that was passing through NIST's standardization process at the time (it was withdrawn).
Chain operators' desire to ride narratives and exploit the tendency of web3 investors tendency to seize onto this or that carefully promoted story, who for the most part do not use crypto technology beyond holding and trading tokens, and who lack understanding of the theoretical issues involved, is certainly exploitative for a simple reason — whereas historical technical safety manias used for commercial purposes, such as Y2K, only collected money, this one also risks user safety.
Chains sell adoption of quantum safe signature schemes to token buyers and users that in reality reflect a kind of stupidity, and irresponsibility, rather than actions reflecting wise stewardship protecting people from an imminent quantum meltdown. Meanwhile, of course, while adding support for a new post quantum signature algorithms doesn't involve much engineering work, it allows them to post pictures of their logo next to photos of quantum computers, so they can sell the ignorant on how sci-fi and advanced they are, which makes it particularly attractive to them.
Important note: you'll hear about some serious people performing post quantum encryption of messages. That's different. They're calculating the risk that adversaries, such as state adversaries, perform mass storage of encrypted messages containing secrets, so that they can extract the secrets from them 10 years from now, say, when they finally have cryptographically-relevant quantum computers. This is a different kind of risk they are addressing.
The perverse tragedy of the quantum mania craze that's currently gripping crypto is that on the one hand it shows how so many chains are driven by a desire to sell tokens first, rather than pursue sound engineering practices, and on the other, their willingness to lie and risk user safety in the process. This, all while the real wolf is at the door as concerns our engineering — AI that's rapidly advancing, here today, accessible to many, and difficult to control.
What I can promise, is that DFINITY will be focusing on mitigating this real risk, and no matter the post quantum mania, we won't be joining it, and will instead try to plot the most responsible course.

@lilmemeish Once any network gains serious traction in the mainstream world, it will be game over. The future of web3 won't be decided within the echo chamber of web3.
🔴 DUBAI AI FESTIVAL WRAP UP | ICP
Dfinity featured in the "official publication" for the event, and other significant takeaways
(This turns into a semi unhinged rant just fyi)

This was the first time DFINITY attended an AI event, but it's just the start. Thank you to the organizers for a great time. I explained the way that the Internet Computer | ICP now provides the ultimate agentic infrastructure, and it was tremendously well received, with some stunning follow-ups (more details in time). At the end my keynote, I gave out an email where you can apply for cloud engine coupons — and we're already seeing a steady stream of applications from that audience. The Internet Computer remains the first network creating genuine impact in the mainstream world, and the potential is unlimited.
@Dig0ni I have created alot of enemies across many ecos (including the ICP eco) over the years
If someone thought they could shut me up, they would...
We are living in a delusional bubble (crypto Twitter) where 99% of the people posting cant actually defend what they are saying
Re watch this. And understand i was:
- limited to 1hr (prefer 3)
- got cut off and strawmanned the whole "debate"
- can do a follow up refuting 100% of every fake rebuttal/strawman (but its a waste of time)
- this is a leading project founder in their eco (i am just a random bro making videos on his old MacBook)
- the other TAO public figures wouldnt debate me after this
- I didnt get to 80% of the case i COULD MAKE against Bittensor. This is only 20% max. I could go so much deeper into why this is vaporware
If you think that the reason people don’t want to debate @BobbyO_ is because of his tone or how he comes across to the other ecosystems, realise this, if they know he is wrong, they’ll be more than happy to crush him and his “attitude”.
This is fear you are seeing not etiquette.
Looking forward to two great days at the Dubai AI Festival, meeting with friends and partners! 🇦🇪
Watch out for the State of AI 2026 report that is going to be released on Tuesday.
If you are around, don't miss @dominic_w's keynote on "Sovereign Cloud for the AI era" on Tue, 3:10 UAE time.

🧵 I'm old enough to remember when numerous community members were calling me toxic for rightfully calling out alot of the L1 fraud in this space (specifically NEAR but also others)
With the usual strawmen "being a maxi is bad. we should all work together. this is toxic behavior."
They never actually addressed the case I was making (bc they couldn't)
Many people with fluid morals become easily corrupted in an environment where most everything is corrupt
Thats really the story of Crypto tbh
All of those people have been silent the last couple days (or going after NEAR)
The reality is most L1 foundations are just here to extract and sell vaporware until the wheels fall off.
***I too once believed they would get their shit together and pursue real technical solutions. But after a couple years of watching them fraudulently market their tech, I realized my initial assessment was wrong.***
"Crypto" is NEVER COMING BACK!
ITS OVER. The best everyone can hope for is one last semi altcoin bull market.
Manufactured pumps will give people hope. But the end result will be the same. Founders have to continue to pretend on Twitter. But they know its over imo.
Where is allllll the new investment capital from Wall St?? Nowhere to be found... Those funds moved to AI.
The fully onchain model has a future bc it solves real problems. L1s by themselves solve no problems. So unless they plan on pivotung to the fully onchain model. I can only assume they are on a crashout extraction mission.
