Thoroughly enjoyed the Mary Ann McCracken Walking Tour this afternoon with @cliftonbelfast - Mary Ann devoted her long life to alleviating poverty, social justice and equality.

I grew up in Portadown close to the Black Paths. While designed and built in the 1960s they were so far ahead of their time.

On beautiful towns - shout out to the lovely Monmouth just about on Welsh side of the Wales-England border. We cross-crossed that border constantly during our summer break with Welsh language signs letting us know we were in 🏴
What to say about Abergavenny in Wales. One of the most beautiful towns I have ever visited. Pedestrianised and so very Mediterranean in feel 😊 Superb town planning with car free living.

Perfect situation for a church - Maghery Chapel on Armagh/Tyrone border on the southern shores of Lough Neagh. Overlooking the @NationalTrustNI owned Coney Island.

I’m not on commission with the owner Charlie or anything but his Base coffee is the best in Newcastle and this side of Milano!
My brother-in-law Federico will beg to differ 😃
#OnThisDay 270 years ago in 1752, 19 men gathered at the George Inn & formed #Belfast Charitable Society with the aim to open a Poor House
Thank you to everyone who has supported the us by coming along to our talks & tours. You are all part of the current chapter in our history!
Met with PhD student @mayorofderry - comparative case studies of Belfast and Bristol smart city polices and potential of #bigdata and social #marketing to create socio-economic inclusivity. Lots of engagement with North Belfast as key area of interest.

@RightsInTheCity Classic example is the horrible overpass that separates Genoa from the sea - it’s a monster! Bit like the old green overpass in Boston before the ‘Big Dig’ put it underground.
