This poor little lady is MEG 🤍🧡 she is a senior Jack Russell and is one of the (many!) emergency intakes we have somehow squeezed in this week, and arrived in really terrible shape 😥
She was crawling with fleas, has open sores, swollen infected paws, an abcess on her face and is underweight 🧡 she was so sore and being driven mad by the fleas 😥
We got her straight to the vets for much needed treatment ❤️‍🩹 BUT!!! Meg desperately needs a FOSTER/HOME!!! ‼️
She is crying constantly in her kennel - and as much as we can get on top of her medical issues, she just needs to be with people and in a home 💔 this is urgent ‼️ PLEASE get in touch via email if you can foster/potentially offer Meg a home 🧡🤍🧡

This man brutally and repeatedly smashed a Seagull against the wall of the Harbour View Cafe in Truro because it tried to steal some food. He then stuffed the Seagull through the fence onto the road where if floundered with two broken wings.

This was in front of numerous people and children who were hugely upset.

was so lovely to see an update on the beautiful puppies who are now looking for their forever homes through @The_Blue_Cross

Their story began in heartbreaking circumstances. We were approached by another mainstream rescue after two dogs were found living in appalling conditions. One of those dogs was the puppies' mum.

When she arrived with us as an emergency foster, we had no idea she was pregnant.
Despite being terrified and severely malnourished, she gave birth that to 7 healthy puppies.

Our team worked around the clock to nurse this frightened young mum back to health, giving her the care, nourishment and reassurance she desperately needed. Watching her grow in confidence and become such a devoted mother was truly incredible. She proved to be absolutely amazing.

A few weeks later, the mainstream rescue secured places for the puppies with Blue Cross to begin their journey towards finding loving homes. As we are a sanctuary rather than a rehoming centre, this was always the best outcome for them.

There is one part of this story that will always stay with me personally. I named one of the puppies Barbara, after my mum. The night my mum passed away was the very same night this brave girl gave birth.
It felt like one life leaving the world as seven new little lives entered it, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, hope can still be found.
Whatever their names are now, I wish every single one of these puppies a lifetime of love, happiness and security. They all deserve the very best, and so does their incredible mum. And thank you to my team who supported Mum 24/7 to give her the best chance with her puppies.

Dogs on the street supported Mum financially with special food lacto and other essentials to keep our health going whilst nursing the seven beautiful babies 🧡
