Thank you to the Bermuda Digital Finance Forum (@DigitalFinForum), held from May 11–14, 2026, for bringing together such an important and timely discussion on the future of finance.
Daniela Herrmann, CEO & Co-Founder of Dynex and Mission Leader of @DynexMoonshots, joined the panel “How AI Is Changing the Architecture of Finance” alongside an exceptional group of leaders: Michael Casey of @AAI_Society, Teana Baker-Taylor of BasedAI, Helen Wang of @ApexGlobalGroup, and Abhi Vaidyanathan of @NEARFoundation.
The conversation explored how AI is reshaping the financial sector at multiple levels: from automation, infrastructure, and data intelligence to decision-making, governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and long-term resilience.
Dynex is focused on helping organizations bring end-to-end quantum-driven solutions into practical application. Through its proprietary Quantum-as-a-Service technology and cloud-based, qubit-agnostic platform architecture, Dynex enables organizations to move beyond theoretical use cases and explore how quantum-driven capabilities can support real-world challenges across finance, risk, security, optimization, and intelligent decision-making.
As financial systems become more digital, more interconnected, and increasingly AI-enabled, the underlying infrastructure becomes just as important as the applications built on top of it. Institutions need technologies that can support real-world implementation, not only experimentation. They need scalable systems, stronger computational capabilities, and trusted security foundations that can operate across increasingly complex digital finance environments.
For Dynex, this discussion connects directly to two major priorities shaping the next phase of finance: the need for production-grade infrastructure that can support advanced AI and optimization workloads, and the need for stronger security foundations for digital assets, wallets, distributed systems, and blockchain governance.
The discussion also highlighted the growing importance of cryptographic resilience. As digital finance continues to scale, the security of wallets, keys, transactions, and governance mechanisms will become increasingly critical. Dynex’s work opens pathways for advanced and distributed cryptographic key generation, supporting stronger wallet security, reduced single points of failure, and more resilient blockchain-based systems.
A special thank you to @PenrosePartners and SALT for curating such an outstanding forum, and to the people behind it, including Sean Stapley, G Clay Miller, Kerem Kolcuoglu, Susan Mekawy, and the wider team, for bringing together such a powerful community in Bermuda.
It was also a privilege to be part of an event with the presence of leaders and organizations including Premier David Burt MP, the @BermudaMonetary Authority, @Coinbase, @Circle, @krakenfx, Stellar Development Foundation, NEAR Foundation, Apex Group, BasedAI, and many others helping shape the next chapter of digital finance.
🎙️ We sat down with @maxime_sts_, CEO & Co-Founder of @stsdigital_io at the @DigitalFinForum.
"We're in a price bear market, but not an adoption bear market."
In previous cycles, the two moved together, prices fell and building stopped. This time it's different.
Thank you to the Bermuda Digital Finance Forum (@DigitalFinForum), held from May 11–14, 2026, for bringing together an insightful and forward-looking discussion on the future of finance.
Daniela Herrmann, CEO & Co-Founder of @DynexQaaS and Mission Leader of Dynex Moonshots, joined the panel “How AI Is Changing the Architecture of Finance” alongside an exceptional group of leaders: Michael Casey of @AAI_Society, Teana Baker-Taylor of BasedAI, Helen Wang of @ApexglobalGroup, and Abhi Vaidyanathan of @NEARFoundation.
The conversation explored how AI is reshaping financial systems at a foundational level: from infrastructure, automation, and decision-making to governance, resilience, security, and the future design of digital finance.
For Dynex Moonshots, this discussion reflects a central belief: advanced technology must be connected to responsible, real-world impact.
AI, quantum-driven infrastructure, digital assets, and blockchain-based systems are no longer isolated innovation topics. They are becoming part of the next operating layer of finance. As these technologies move closer to real-world adoption, the questions become broader than technical capability alone. Leaders must also consider trust, governance, resilience, ethical implementation, and long-term societal value.
This is where Dynex Moonshots plays an important role within the Dynex Ecosystem. As the Family Office of Dynex and the strategic and ethical steward of the ecosystem, Dynex Moonshots supports the responsible advancement of technologies that can help address major challenges across health, society, nature, and space.
The Bermuda Digital Finance Forum created exactly the kind of environment where these questions can be explored: how AI changes financial infrastructure, how organizations prepare for more advanced computational models, and how security and governance must evolve as digital finance becomes increasingly interconnected.

Bermuda's Premier E. David Burt on why Bermuda is the launchpad serious digital finance companies are choosing.
Sandmark sat down with Premier Burt at the Bermuda @DigitalFinForum 2026 🎙️
Great to be part of the Bermuda @DigitalFinForum 2026 and to have Greg Benhaim, our Executive Vice President of Product and Head of Trading, speak on the panel “Managing Digital Assets: Long-Term Wealth Solutions.”
The discussion highlighted the shift in client demand beyond basic digital asset access and ETF exposure toward more sophisticated solutions, including yield generation, active management, custody transparency, risk management, and institutional-grade infrastructure. As Greg emphasized, investors now want to understand what is “under the hood,” including custody, asset segregation, off-exchange settlement, counterparty risk, manager selection, and risk controls.
Overall, the next phase of digital asset adoption will be driven by transparent, risk-managed strategies that help investors put assets like Bitcoin and XRP to work while maintaining security, control, and institutional oversight.
Thank you to Alain Krohn, Max Kahn, and Karl Naim for a great session.

First time in Bermuda. Didn't expect it to land the way it did.
You hear them before you see them- tiny whistling frogs, hitchhiking from the Caribbean in the 1880s on imported plants. They make crazy noise at night. 150 years later, the financial world is catching up.
3 days at @DigitalFinForum and a few things caught me by surprise:
→ Premier @DavidBurtMP is making sure crypto is in the day-to-day lives. Partnering with @circle / @coinbase — $100 USDC airdropped to 1,000 wallets, spendable at dozens of local merchants.
→ @stsdigital_io just had a landmark week. @maxime_sts_ and the team closed a $30M strategic round and announced the BMA Full "F" Licence- highest authorization in Bermuda, joining Circle, Coinbase, Kraken. I was intrigued by their platform: Options + structured products across 400+ tokens, built for institutions.
→ Why Bermuda?
- Top-tier AML for Europe
- Solvency II equivalence — only shared with Switzerland globally
- US customs at the local airport. 2 minutes.
I was speaking with global institutions moving trillion-of dollars on-chain. The understanding of what's underneath is barely there. The @lavanetxyz foundation and its existing contributors are quietly working on closing that gap. The interest level in Bermuda around this topic was exciting.
Thanks to @kkolworld for the invite.
Remember the name: Bermuda.
Let's revisit in five years. 🐸

A global view of digital asset regulation was firmly in focus yesterday at the Bermuda Digital Finance Forum, featuring CryptoUK’s Ian Taylor alongside Aqsa Zubair (@BermudaMonetary), Teresa Goody Guillen (@BelisarioLaw), Zunera Mazhar (@DigitalChamber), and Salman Banaei (@plumenetwork).
The discussion highlighted how quickly the global regulatory landscape is evolving.
A major theme throughout the panel was the momentum emerging from the US, where political and regulatory support for digital assets has accelerated significantly over the past two years. The conversation reflected a growing focus on developing clearer frameworks that support innovation, institutional participation, and the long-term global adoption of digital assets, while creating an environment designed to attract investment and industry growth.
Bermuda also stood out as a strong example of how jurisdictions are moving beyond discussion and into implementation. Alongside its early leadership through the Digital Asset Business Act, Bermuda is now actively exploring how digital assets and stablecoin infrastructure can support payments, financial services, and broader economic activity at a national level. Discussions around embedded supervision and regulators potentially operating their own nodes further demonstrated how oversight itself may evolve as blockchain infrastructure becomes more integrated into the financial system.
For the UK, the discussion reinforced the importance of government, regulators, and industry working together to develop systems and frameworks that not only protect consumers and uphold market integrity, but also support innovation, investment, and long-term growth. Maintaining internationally competitive and innovation-friendly regulation will be critical if the UK is to remain a leading global hub for digital assets, while global alignment will also play an important role as the industry continues to scale across jurisdictions.
Thank you to all of the panellists for a thoughtful and engaging discussion, and a big thank you to the @DigitalFinForum team, @PartnersPenrose, and @SALTConference for inviting CryptoUK back once again this year. We’re looking forward to the final day today and already look forward to returning again next year.
