For decades, Brazil’s unreasonable acts, policies, and practices have harmed U.S. commerce, including by unfairly advantaging Brazil’s producers over their American competitors and by restricting access to one of the world’s top export markets. For example:

Illegal Deforestation: Brazil’s deforestation practices make it more difficult for the U.S. logging industry to compete fairly in global markets. A staggering 91% of deforestation in the Amazon was illegal harvesting between 2023 and 2024. Illegally sourced timber products contribute to distorted global prices, resulting in the devaluation of U.S. wood products, with illegally sourced timber estimated to reduce legally sourced timber prices by 7% to 16%.

There is also evidence that some sub-central levels of Brazil’s government are taking steps to eliminate or roll back tax and other public- and private-sector incentives designed to discourage deforestation.

Anti-Corruption Enforcement: Corruption in Brazil is not new, but with its recent actions, Brazil has moved farther away from global norms relating to fighting bribery and corruption. Last year, Brazil scored only 35 out of 100 on the Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI).

Given Brazilian companies’ involvement in some of the world’s largest corruption cases in the last decade, the OECD has expressed concerns about Brazil’s failure to achieve a sustainable level of foreign bribery enforcement consistent with its economic profile.

Segundo familiares, Rodrigo Resende Prado, de 46 anos, chegou à unidade com intensa falta de ar e pediu ajuda diversas vezes. No entanto, o atendimento não foi feito de imediato.

Os familiares afirmam que a equipe só prestou socorro após o homem perder a consciência. Ainda de acordo com os relatos, os profissionais do hospital tentaram reanimá-lo, mas ele não resistiu e morreu no local.

In the next Vorssaint update, you’ll be able to display metrics as bars in the menu bar instead of plain values.

They’re easier to read, take up less space, and give you a clearer view of resource usage.

The bar colors will also change based on three usage levels: Normal, Medium, and High. By default, they’ll use blue, yellow, and red.

You’ll be able to customize both the colors and the thresholds. For example, you can set CPU usage above 70% to Medium and above 90% to High.

Simple, compact, and fully customizable. Win-win!

Vorssaint is officially one month old.

Thirty days ago, it launched with zero GitHub stars. Today, it has more than 2.7K.

In its first month, Vorssaint reached number one among trending Swift repositories on GitHub, welcomed contributors from around the world and shipped more than 70 updates.

We fixed bugs, improved performance, polished the UI and UX and built new features directly from community feedback. That made Vorssaint one of the most actively developed Swift repositories on GitHub during its first month.

Vorssaint is now also eligible to be submitted to the official Homebrew list. Until now, it was only available through its own tap because the project had not yet completed its first 30 days.

There is also one promise I want to make very clear.

Everything in Vorssaint is free, and it will remain free forever. No Pro tiers. No subscriptions. No lifetime purchases.

Vorssaint will also never collect your data. I genuinely have no idea how you use the app unless you tell me. That is why every bug report, feature request and piece of honest feedback helps Vorssaint more than anything else.

During this first month, Vorssaint also received support from 49 people on Buy Me a Coffee across more than 14 countries. That is incredible, and I am deeply grateful to every single person who chose to support the project.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, reported an issue, suggested an improvement, shared the project, supported its development or simply gave Vorssaint a chance.

Apenas 15 dias depois, em 17 de fevereiro, ele já registrava uma evolução que emocionou a equipe médica. Em novos vídeos, o paciente aparece realizando exercícios na academia, utilizando aparelhos como abdutora e extensora e demonstrando movimentos que antes não eram possíveis. Ele é o segundo paciente de Minas Gerais a receber a terapia, que segue sendo avaliada em um estudo clínico conduzido com rigor científico. Cada novo resultado fortalece a expectativa de que a pesquisa possa abrir caminhos para futuras estratégias de tratamento de lesões medulares. Embora ainda sejam necessários mais estudos para confirmar sua eficácia e segurança, os avanços observados renovam a esperança de pacientes e pesquisadores. Porque, para quem passou anos sem conseguir mover as pernas, cada movimento representa muito mais do que um exercício: representa a possibilidade de recomeçar.
