13k Ugandans responded to our #SautiStream radio poll asking what they think of online activists expressing their discontent on the internet.
51% feel represented, 21% are aware but don’t feel respected and 28% are unaware of online activism altogether. This means almost half of our respondents are excluded from online conversations.
We’ve organized an X Space in partnership with @chapterfourug and @cipesaug to not only explore the role of digital activism in promoting freedom of expression but also discuss the challenges of inclusivity in Uganda’s activism.

Many people think that Child Marriage leads to teenage pregnancy but a survey in Uganda shows that teenage pregnancy leads to child marriage by forceful marriage of underage girls who get pregnant!
The lesson here is that provision of comprehensive age appropriate sex education and provision of comprehensive sexual and reproductive services can be an effective approach to reducing early and forced child marriages allowing girls to be women of their dreams as @NicePlaceFound says
