@EvilMacrameOwl English words are only really used to illustrate a point. "A gol" isn't a rearranging of "a cat" or "a dog", it's a nonce word that here means "the heads of a dog and a cat".
@Matthewmatical@AWAKE_AT_354_AM Systematicity basically means parts of language can be broken down into still meaningful bits so like you can break A, B, and C into the parts that refer to the dog and the cat. As a further example if it said "cats" you could break that down into "cat" and "-s" making it plural
@Matthewmatical@AWAKE_AT_354_AM This is from a paper about two aspects of natural language, systematicity and locality. B is local because all the letters in "A gol" and "a nar" respectively are local to each other, letters that are part of one unit can't just be anywhere. (1)
@Matthewmatical@AWAKE_AT_354_AM *B you can't break into parts that refer to the dog and the cat, but you can break it into parts that refer to different things (the heads and the bodies).

@Matthewmatical@AWAKE_AT_354_AM D is holistic rather than systematic because you can't break down "vek" into different parts that each mean "cat" and "dog", it's just "vek". Similarly the words "cat" and "dog" are individually holistic, you can find separate any part of the word "cat" and have it be meaningful
@redrummarts had to look up who you're talking about and ohh I think I clicked on one of his videos a long time ago and had to click off because he has one of those disgusting dense wiry black beards that hurt me to look at
