@BowTiedBroke 47. Been exhausted since kid number 4 at 42 caused hypothyroidism. Only gotten worse. I paid 1000 out of pocket for a doctor that is a perimenopause specialist. She says you have to go back and forth with different combos of hormones and amounts to find the sweet spot.

@prairiehsewife My boomer in laws live right down the road and have never spent time with my two youngest and haven’t watched one of my 4 since 2019. But it’s good. I don’t have to provide elder care to them so at least I dodged that bullet! They are on their own!

@DRanchLife Only thing is with three kids under 4 a lot of that money will go towards daycare. That’s why you don’t see many families with over two kids use it. So just watch out for that

@SlimWiggy Yeah, the whole “they were concubines” is insulting. I know why they do it, so that the slave trade in America stays front and center, but these women were slaves. I can’t even fathom the terror these women faced. They must have been so homesick, just delirious with grief.

@annabesss Yeah after seeing all these responses and then the blow up a few weeks back about all women being poor mothers and terrible at doing chores unlike men, I suddenly have a new found appreciation for the protections and norms that were faught for on behalf of all women

@lizisamused You have to teach your sons that you don’t make a girl prove she doesn’t want you. You want her actually want you. They stopped and then pushed to start again. The girl acquiesced not consented. Consent for the sexes is just different and parents have to drive this home

@thegenesisbl0ck Hah. My husband would have flipped if I had tried to keep him from the birth of our four kids. Obviously in the recent past there was a reason for men to be excluded but with modern medical care, it really is special to see your children begin their life.
