@sheela2010@DelhiGymkhana Despite having used the club's services often since 1997, I couldn't agree with you more. Having said that, it's also time to let go of those huge Lutyen's bungalows that MPs enjoy, the one's with those massive lawns and verandahs. One could fit at least 4 homes in each of those.
@virsanghvi Can’t say “maharani “ anymore so I guess “First Lady” of whatever is what they’ll have to live with. We simply can’t seem to get over our awe of the goras!
@amitabhk87 Can we simply start with banning iPads and laptops in classrooms? Kids have forgotten to read text books. Ppt slides are uploaded by incompetent teachers on Canvas app. & all learning happens on it app. Don’t see a single underline, highlight, or even a dog ear on the text books!
@anandmahindra May I say something? As a trekker, we know many of these pristine, unknown places - and we prefer to keep it that way. Please don’t make them known. Our average Indian tourist has no appreciation for the clean and pristine. Posts like these, destroy these wonderful spaces.
@theliverdoc Wonder if you've had the chance to read this one: https://t.co/P3Ho9FKqGU - a Nat Geo article about supplements impacting the liver. Behind a paywall unfortunately.
THIS. India aims to receive 25 million foreign tourists by 2030. Between Jan to Aug '24, we were around 6.91 million only - btw, just for perspective, Thailand hit 30 million last year ('24) & aiming for 40 million foreign visitors in '25.
Let's clear the air first, then talk
@vikramchandra@raghavjoshi1010 Trek through the Indian villages in Uttarakhand, Himachal etc. They have toilets. But no running water. Every village home has a toilet - which is now used to store grains. Didn't see one toilet that was used for the purpose it was made. Not one.
