▪️Cancer does not stop for conflict. It does not wait for ceasefires. And for patients in places like Gaza, survival becomes a battle on two fronts.
▪️This is not politics. This is humanity. How you treat people going through cancer, war, displacement, and loss is a measure of our shared humanity.

▪️Every time I wanted to give up, I remembered that we created a generation of cancer survivors and patients in Gaza who deserve to have someone speak on their behalf.
▪️You are killing us. You are depriving us. We are hungry. We need clean water. We need medication. But you can't stop us from living.
▪️One night I was looking at the sky, asking God: Is this a dream, or was our past life the dream?"

🔹 What does it mean to fight cancer in Gaza?
🔹 What happens to cancer patients when hospitals are bombed, treatment is interrupted, and healthcare systems collapse?
🔹 How do patients and families survive when war, displacement, and disease collide?
🔹 And what happens when the world watches, but not everyone speaks?
Our guest today, Eman Shannan, has lived this reality every single day.
In this episode of Global Health Dialogues @ghdwpd, Princess Dina sits down with Eman Shannan, cancer survivor, humanitarian leader, and founder of the Aid and Hope Program for Cancer Patients Care in Gaza.
From her own cancer diagnosis to decades of advocacy on behalf of patients in Gaza, Eman shares a deeply personal account of resilience, loss, displacement, and survival. She reflects on what it means to navigate cancer in a place where healthcare has long been constrained, and where conflict, the destruction of hospitals, and the collapse of essential services have pushed patients beyond the limits of endurance.
This is more than a conversation about cancer. It is a conversation about the human cost of war, and about the extraordinary courage of patients, families, and healthcare advocates who continue to fight for life and dignity against all odds.

WHO has extraordinary people, but the world often does not hear their stories.
When I think of @WHO, I think of André Ilbawi. And I know there are many others like him.
We should criticize institutions when necessary. We should demand better systems, faster delivery, and greater accountability. But we should also recognize and support the remarkable people dedicating their lives to global health.
Because they are not just working for WHO.
They are working for all of us.

🚨Urgent Escalation: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya Placed in Solitary Confinement Amid Health Concerns
On June 3, 2026, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya was transferred from Naqab Prison to solitary confinement in Nafha Prison following a legal appeal challenging his ongoing detention.
The move comes amid reports of continued denial of adequate medical care and harsh detention conditions, raising serious concerns over his health and physical safety.
Human rights concerns have intensified following the decision to place him in isolation after the filing of legal proceedings. His condition is reported to be at risk due to lack of treatment and restricted access to essential healthcare.
The case has prompted renewed calls for urgent international attention from relevant UN bodies, the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and global human rights organizations to ensure his safety and access to medical care.
Authorities are being urged to guarantee his rights and prevent any further deterioration in his condition.
🚨This short film exposes the true story of Israel's creation, entirely through the words of its own founders
For decades, Israel’s lies have been carefully designed to demonize its victims. To ensure that no matter the crimes it commits, the children it slaughters, the world remains incapable of empathy for Palestinians, or at best, treats it with the same apathy that has allowed this to go on for as long as it has
On the 78th anniversary of its creation, it's time the world knew that Israel's past is not different from the brutal present the world is finally seeing
The Israelization of our societies is already happening: posturing democracies where human rights can be suspended for people that those in power consider a disturbance.
Wake up Brits. Italians. Germans. French. North Americans. Dutch.
The genocide seems unstoppable,
Necrocapitalism seems invincible- but they are not!
All we need is UNITY. COORDINATION. PERSEVERANCE.
Keep Protesting. Striking. Boycotting. Litigating.
Not just once.
All the times needed till the Apartheid ends and the system which fed it too.
