Death sentence awarded to all nine police personnel convicted in the Sathankulam custodial death case of P. Jayaraj and his son J. Bennix. The judgement would now have to be referred to the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court for confirmation. A Division Bench of the High Court would hear the case at length before pronoucing its verdict.

People are commuting under a grave situation.Metro and rain drainage works are beneficial only for contractors and officials.

@sunnewstamil Narrow and worst road conditions from Kovilambakkam main road up until medavakkam koot road and this metro work has added lots of pain to the commuters. Strong action should be taken, else the list keeps increasing. Recently the water lorry accident is a notable one.

@UpdatesChennai @CMOTamilnadu Same situation in Nanmangalam Kovilambakkam worst road conditions and it's been the same for the past 6 years.Approving Metro works in Village panchayats is not going to benefit anyone. That's not the improvement we need here. All we need is normal roads to commute safely.
