The Trump administration plans to spend up to $20 million on electric-shock gloves for immigration officers — equipment DHS is calling a “de-escalation device.”

The CTG-5 G.L.O.V.E., short for Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter, could be issued to ICE officers and agents working immigration enforcement and criminal investigations.

The move comes as ICE faces scrutiny over tactics used during President Trump’s mass deportation campaign.

But Border Czar Tom Homan tells Fox "the glove is the latest thing they're looking at," likening it to other methods of getting individuals to comply with officers.
