@investingidiocy I should know since I’ve read your books! But I bet if you went even shorter than your lowest EWMAC crossover it would be even more pronounced. Also those turtle traders guys were just trading a 20 day breakout which is close to your shortest rule on that strat

@investingidiocy I’m sure someone has gathered this! It makes some sense to me that the faster signals would suffer the most decay, since from what I gather, a lot of the pit traders were just riding the order flow and momentum for relatively short durations

@vronskies I think I’ll pass on that one in that case lol Would love to know how she developed that style of writing. It’s distinctive for sure. I assumed it would’ve been beaten out of students in college or grad school though 😂

@vronskies Choppy is a really good way to describe her writing I think. Normal People was beautiful and really nailed a certain type of love, but nothing seemed to flow. It was all just “this happened” then “this happened” a while later “this happened”

@vronskies Yes same, the reviews were terrible! Probably would’ve made a much better miniseries. The plot was good in the book, but there’s no way you’d capture the mood around all of it in just under two hours

@vronskies Me too! I heard the film adaptation was bad but the book had the same intensity as Secret History and I thought the stretches of the book with him in Vegas and talking about his father were really heartbreaking and poignant
