@Sfarr5150Farley@WarMonitor3 Do you really think the USA wouldnt have hammered into submission if it could do so without unacceptable levels of casualties?
Imagine if a woman president crashed the economy and started a war with no end in sight, and her biggest, seemingly ONLY concern was building a ballroom and redecorating the White House.
@theDustyLandis@weRessential@marklevinshow In the American imperial mind, anything bad that the US does is handwaved away and no one should do anything about it but anything that happens to the US has to be avenged. They literally see themselves as exceptional and I'm glad they are being reminded they are not.
@HFI_Research Why would we expect Iran, the party that was attacked and for whom these questions are existential, to compromise? What's at stake for the US if it bends, other than ego? Keeping in mind Iran has been demanding it's own frozen assets.
@muppetmastertm2@hhq104@imetatronink@wyattreed13@RecNihilist@CENTCOM Well, then perhaps the US shouldn't have gone to war with Iran against everyone's advice other than the mad Zionists. It's a brave new world now and Iran is as unfettered by international law as the US is.
@HFI_Research Even if peace breaks out tomorrow, won't the big gap between the physical price of oil and the falling speculative price of oil have to be reconciled every month end?
@muppetmastertm2@hhq104@imetatronink@wyattreed13@RecNihilist@CENTCOM The rest of the world already suffers because of the US. What's the difference between Iran charging a fee on transit and the US imposing sanctions on dozens of countries? Both are coercion and bullying and the US has destroyed the last shreds of international law.
@thomas_je43740@FT In your fantasy world, wages have kept up with inflation. and single-earner homes are commonplace. IRL though, people are being squeezed like never before.
