I’m just grateful for Lando’s form that despite a mechanical DNF, getting taken out by your teammate and now a DQ that Lando still leads the championship by nearly a race win. He really allowed for a double McLaren mess up and made sure he was far enough ahead

i don’t understand how stuff like this still happens when we’re this deep into a title fight. lando does everything he’s supposed to and fights hard to come back until something on the team’s side goes wrong again. brake issues, mechanical DNF, repercussions, slow pitstops costing him positions etc..

all those points he’s lost this year add up and it’s just so frustrating to watch because none of it is on him. the fact that the team has cost him 36 points just by counting the mechanical DNF and the DSQ alone, without the other mistakes, is beyond me.

Honestly Lando did amazing to finish P2 today. To have an issue like that and still come away P2.
The win wasn’t possible but he maximised on a track that doesn’t suit McLaren and extends his championship lead🔥
