NG 2004 actually had a tutorial for the UT. They removed it in NGB. You actually couldn't preform a UT without essence in the base game. Manually charging a UT was first added in the DLC.
@chainsawrezi@RayCHrasH What I mean is that DMC1 works best with that Arcade 1 credit clear Philosophy. Where managing your Red Orb purchases is part of what makes a run interesting.
NG DMC3 feels more like you’re missing things you rely on, and you’re waiting to upgrade to max again.
@RayCHrasH@chainsawrezi DMC1 is actually the most fun to play from a fresh New Game.
DMC3 is better for NG+, but you can play DMC1 on NG DMD and still have what you need to succeed with the base tools.
@SorrowsDawn2005@crisperstorm She is supposed to be shifting through multiple colours. But Gearbox Broke that effect in the Halo CE PC port and that has been the bases for every future version of CE.
This is actually now fixed in MCC, but people have seen the broken version for over a decade.
@RoboMichael98@VIIenough They actually removed it because it was broken
The saves wouldn't load properly, and what you have to do to fix it is first start new saves so your PC can format the save folder correctly, then saves you put in the save folder will work
Granted, Capcom just should have fixed it
@badgraphix@piperocktheory Traveller's Tales also made 4 of these Toy Story games, and Bugs Life, so if they’re already interviewing the devs might as welll ask them About the making of the Bugs Life game and share its dev story.
@AmbiguousZenith@ZooL_Smith It's more so that Raiden wares Armstrong down enough that the Nanomachines can't take that much punishment.
Sam's sword is just of far higher quality then Raiden's Sword which was broken in half earlier in the fight.
@styl1shb4nana@Invinium@n_ezzzu You can actually see Capcom’s sales numbers for anything that sold over a million here.
https://t.co/5OFFWO6C0t
Although any game that can be bought digitally keeps getting updated, so the DmC Reboot sales thanks to Steam, look much better now then they did the year it released
@styl1shb4nana@Invinium@n_ezzzu DMC4 actually sold 3m, compared to DMC1’s 2.16m
It’s was the most successful game yet, but with it being the first DMC on PS and Xbox they expected a larger increase in sales.
@Invinium@n_ezzzu@styl1shb4nana In comparison Operation Raccoon City released the same year, and when it hit 2 million, Capcom considered that a “Big Success” likely because they spent far less money making ORC then RE6.
@Invinium@n_ezzzu@styl1shb4nana That's why I didn't say "Straight up success" I said Financial Success.
And Capcom didn't consider RE6 a success, it may have sold 4.9m in the first year, but Capcom was expecting 7m, If they dumped THAT much money into it, then it wouldn't have been a "Financial success."
@TequilaMan89@nygma0451 That doesn’t actually help. Hack and Slash is extremely loosely defined, as Diablo, Dead cells, Dynasty Warriors, God of War are all considered a “Hack And Slash”
Capcom actually uses the term Stylish Action to offically refer to what DMC is.
@n_ezzzu@styl1shb4nana DMC2 being a bad sequel doesn’t mean it almost killed the franchise.
It still sold 1.7 million copies, in comparison Dead Rising 1 sold 1.8 million, so DMC2 was clearly a financial success.
@Shamaboy11 The best part is Vanilla NG3 exists.
I played that just out of sick curiosity, and it was genuinely one of the worst video game products I’ve ever seen.
@PumpkinSynth Considering the emphasize use of pay phones in DMC5, and the clearly dated mobile phone in Nico’s Van. The DMC games take place before the mass adoption of cellphones and definitely before the smart phone.
Nero’s Wireless headphones in DMC4 are the most high tech thing we see
@Chaser_Tech I'll let you know since it's obscure info. When you're doing the first phase of the Mundus fight, or the first person underwater segments. The Analog stick is inverted, and the D-Pad is uninverted.
@BlizzyAdeline@OldFashiondDino When going for Chapter 8 on Very Hard recently I found it pretty handy to go for 100% Acceleration, since because of all the tight turns, even without "Snaking" you're getting a ton of extra speed.
@SUPERBLOWFLY Funny enough there didn’t seem to be clear communication on if DMC was a prequel or a Reboot, since Tim Phillipps calls it a prequel in this dev diary.
Not really his fault, since told him not to play the prior games when he asked if he should.
