@johnbrucewalla1 @timricketts_ Came to say the same thing. When the patient isn't well enough for investigations and/or they wouldn't change the outcome, eg in advanced malignant bowel obstruction, bowel sounds can be helpful in planning management.
@RobJimFleming @beckimarshRA Particularly when they KNOW there is a significant cohort of us trying to get submitted before the curriculum changes next year (to dual certification). Why bring in GIM requirements now? I haven't worked in GIM for prob 14 years.
@beckimarshRA @RobJimFleming The new palliative medicine SSG (will only last 11 months as new curriculum for CESR starts Nov 24) is pretty much the same except they now want minimum numbers of WPBAs and an internal medicine consultant to give us a reference... harder than before.
