Reminder that Half Me has one of the best logos in modern metal. Overall art direction is really insane for this album
Oh, and they make really strong metalcore
Oceans Ate Alaska has felt like a band on the brink of a breakup for years so I will never take new music from them for granted
Can’t wait to hear the new album
I’ve lost track of how many times Wage War has been back, but Landfall is really solid
Honestly, this would have been a very logical next step following Deadweight. Took some time to get there, but it seems like they finally found their identity with the swamp aesthetic
@mburridgemusic Master is probably the album that changed my life. Pivotal moment for me discovering something I loved and set me down the path of exploring music for myself
My dad introduced me to classic rock as a kid through Led Zeppelin. Loved the guitar work and actually referred to them as “the band with the cool guitars” before I knew their name.
Master of Puppets was the first CD I owned. Modern bands like A7X and Slipknot opened the doors to more aggressive genres of metal and from there I found the alternative stuff that I can’t seem to shut up about.
Also, shoutout RTJ3 for showing a metal guy how exciting rap can be. Maybe one of the most significant albums here because it introduced me to an entire new genre
