Fun fact: Uganda is home to the world's highest concentration of habituated wild chimpanzees, making it the best place on Earth for chimpanzee trekking experiences and primate research.

On this #WorldChimpanzeeDay, we celebrate one of Uganda's greatest natural treasures and humanity's closest living relatives.

From the lush forests of Kibale National Park (home to more than 1,500) to Budongo Forest, Kalinzu Forest, Kyambura Gorge, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (@ngambaisland), and the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (@UWEC_EntebbeZoo), Uganda offers exceptional opportunities to experience these remarkable primates while learning why their conservation matters.

As we continue showcasing the Pearl of Africa to the world, let us also reaffirm our commitment to protecting the forests and ecosystems that make these extraordinary encounters possible. VISIT MBALE:

Every even year, the Bagisu carry out mass circumcision of the young boys to initiate them into manhood. The official inauguration of this Imbalu activity for this year will be on 1st August at Mutoto ancestral ground.

Bamasaba Troupers have organized a 3 days road-trip to Mbale on 31st to give you the gist experience of what really happens during the opening of Imbalu activities in Bugisu.
