There have been only 2 periods in history when the US was in more danger of destruction. Predictably, those times were in it's infancy after the revolutionary war before the constitution was adopted, and during the civil war era.
The people concerned by the constitution were called anti-federalists, and these were their basic problems with it:
1. The liberty of individuals would gradually be eroded.
2. States would gradually lose their sovereignty to a large federal government.
3. Representatives of a large federal government would become detached from the people they represent, and would govern to achieve their own self interest.
4. A large faction of would gain control and impose it's will over the rest of the population.
20 years ago I would have argued against the anti-federalist position, but time has proven them to be wise. MAGA are modern anti-federalist.
@marklevinshow I loathe the idea of hsving a full scale boots on the ground war, but there is not a single regime more deserving of being wiped off the face of the earth. The Iranian coast line needs to be captured and held indefinitely.
@BadgedPatriot That guy should have stayed in his truck. His dumbass escalated the whole situation as you explained it. If anyone gets arrested, it should be him.
@SkylarSkye3 They need to paint the US in a bad light and make it look worse than European countries. If the average European knew how great the US was, they would be much less forgiving towards the EU/UK.
@JayJosephVet BM work isn't exactly the most mentally stimulating. I had a lot of respect for the good ones, but there were many that were terrible and pretty much abused the undesignated seaman assigned to them.
