@fleetingbits > this gives anthropic a core set of values
> openai doesn't really believe anything
early moments matter. that's when your values and your beliefs are formed.
being handed a worldview or asked to sign off on a "set of values" is not a sign of virtue. it's a red flag.
@Dimillian The EU was like:
how do we make sure the people most capable of creating surplus value for everyone have to leave Europe in order to actually build and compete?
@willdepue The paradox of predictions is that your edge comes before your credibility, and your credibility arrives after the edge is gone.
You see it early, nobody cares, and by the time the world catches up and turns to you, you're already washed up.
@ajambrosino In the attached tweet, I talk about why the action bar could even be a massive unlock for power users.
Alrighty... enough unsolicited feedback for today.
Appreciate you, Andrew!

@ajambrosino > The new primitive is one universal, context-aware command surface that Codex can extend for you, accessible via a single key.
> Windows already has the Copilot key, which we can repurpose. For Mac, we figure something out. Maybe Fn.

@ajambrosino The spell book + action bar combo is incredibly intuitive, and I think Codex should copy it to help normies reach a βgood-to-goβ state faster.
Could even add a 'Beginner' toggle to the spell book so it only shows straightforward actions. Like a level 1 player only has 2β3 spells
@ajambrosino P.S. I know power users will still prefer slash commands, and those shouldn't go away.
But Codex is meant for everyone. There were MMOs before WoW, but WoW became mainstream because it was designed with everyday users in mind.

@ajambrosino Working with agents already feels a bit like playing a game, so a spell book and action bar would feel like a natural fit, while also making the growing feature set of Codex easier to discover and use.

@bcardarella Imagine hating on someone with no reason given whatsoever, with literally zero public evidence of anything that would justify disliking the guy, and somehow getting 1,000 likes for it.π€¦ββοΈ
