@luvtotrain@Bullskickass@BrettSiegelNBA WTH? Mathurin has been a poor defender since the minute he got drafted. Folks need to stop wanting the Bulls to rush the build. ๐คฆ๐ฟโโ๏ธ
@cbefred Correct. In addition, a good rim protector causes players to alter their shots due to their presence, leading to lower shooting %s @ the rim. That's actually what made Brook Lopez valuable on D.
@izzyknowshoops@BullsMuse_@BullsCentralPod@TheRoundtaBulls That's important for a guy like Noa. If he's on the roster, he'd be going against Caleb & Matas every day in practice. I'm a believer in "iron sharpens iron", so practicing against better guys his same age would only help him. He needs some time w/ the Bulls roster.
@izzyknowshoops@BullsMuse_@BullsCentralPod@TheRoundtaBulls I think people are forgetting that being on the active roster isn't always about being in the rotation. Only 9-10 guys are in a rotation. The rest get mop up mins, but more importantly they PRACTICE with the NBA team every day. (1/2)
@statspros@KCJHoop It doesn't work like that, lol. Guys with that type of body struggle to put on weight until they stop stretching out. KG, KD, etc. all had the same problem early on. Folks are just impatient today.
@BullsSource@KCJHoop It's summer league, with a collection of players that doesn't include a true PG. Swain's shot wasn't there, but his defensive instincts were. I'd actually give him a C this summer. SL is more for gunners.
@statspros@KCJHoop The dude is young, was rehabbing, and still growing. It's going to be hard for him to add weight until he finally stops growing. What's more important right now is that he gets stronger, not heavier.
@yyzdigital@CodeCamCode@cptdankkk That's why you get a financial manager. Your agent's job is to get you more money. That's it. It's not their job to tell you how to spend that money. Those players don't want to pay someone to tell them "no, stop spending" though.
@cptdankkk The problem there isn't the agents. They're doing their jobs. The problem is he's conflating a financial manager with an agent, and they're not the same. Those players need someone who will tell them to stop spending, & even then they need to be willing to listen.
@_Fuzzgun@WholeLottaBull We don't know that, because he's had nobody worth passing to. Even Matas wasn't truly ready yet. Remember, y'all wrote off guys like Brunson & KAT as being "impossible to win with" too. ๐คฆ๐ฟโโ๏ธ
@WholeLottaBull Dude never got a chance to play his natural position until he got to the Bulls, a position known to take time to learn to play well. He's already putting up top 50, close to top 25 numbers. He hasn't had a good team around him, & passing PGs HAVE to have scorers.
@cbefred Yes, summer league is WAY overrated. The only time it holds relevance is when a guy is putting up OVERWHELMING numbers, and that only seems to apply to their rookie year as well.
@cbefred I have yet to see a guy play for a high-level national team (including ours) and not get better to some degree from the experience (as long as them don't get hurt). Matas will be fine.
@cbefred I love how they structured the Collins signing. Instead of waiting for mid-Dec & trading for up to 120% of 8mil, he's available immediately & the Bulls can take back up to double the salary. That was brilliant.
