@snarkbox@Oaktree65472824@DrGuitar@wakeupamerica97 Given they have proved they can sell out at 150, unless you take extreme measures, touts will buy them up and sell them on at 150. Essentially tickets will continue to rise until the price people will pay is exceeded and touts are cut out of the process.
@duncanm@SherpaGinseng You need to book into most recycling centres nowadays, often a few days In advance and, specifically round here, if you don’t know or don’t have a registration, you can’t complete the booking and if you don’t turn up in that vehicle - no option for foot or anything else, no entry
@GendoWasRight Retail always reckoned they could sell them and sports as a toy, a one off purchase and never see the buyer again. I saw tons with sports and a couple of 3rd party supermarket shelf fillers at the boot sales so I believe that annecdote
@GendoWasRight No difference - Sony at the time treated 3rd parties and retail great, better margins, distribution, access to the SDKs, that new development optimiser we saw with Wipeout 3, also a grown up company - not seen as a kids toy, an extension of film and music so always good press
@GendoWasRight They make the hardware round the games - I always felt that first lot of DS games were the N64 disk games that they knew were just too good to not put out so they tweaked it all and hey presto, launch window software famine problems instantly solved
@GendoWasRight Can you imagine that - he reckoned they were discussing 3rd party versions etc - mad they held their nerve and did what they felt was right
@GendoWasRight It was losing that 3rd party to Sony that gave you that N64, if ever there’s a pure system for Nintendo it’s that, even down to the adverts. Mate at a peripherals company reckoned the original idea was those Wii controllers for the GC and it was a massive internal debate
@GendoWasRight In some ways that GC with its focus on 3rd party (for a bit and in the press) seemed a bit of a departure at the time, they chased them a bit - and then they went back to what works for them
@GendoWasRight They did experiment with peripherals and stuff like Vietual boy I’ll always say that the DS was the real follow up to the N64 as it effectively chucked all the N64 add ones like the mic, storage, mouse (via touch screen)….
@MarkRot46090702@bbqbobs We’re an event company that owns its own stadium and has the football side as an anchor tennent. I don’t think DL even gives a toss about the football anymore, he’s more bothered about the deals side.
@ImaBigCat@Criminalsimpson My partner was unaware of any of Howard Hughes eccentricities or history, by coincidence, day before we went to see The Avaiator in the cinema, $pringfield was repeated. We both smirked and silently chortled our way through the film.
@ForestHills1903@Nomad2Pure@Aiannucci Even simpler, the “opportunities” are massive deregulation and turning us into a red state - and while many are happy it happens to others, they don’t fancy it happening to their benefits and services, a circle that cannot be squared
@ZXretroXX A lot of this seems similar to a chunk of the 90s sightings where that was the lens/shutter etc of the camera and it went away once we switched to other types of camera
@MrTibblesNewEra@davostwatos The rises coincided with the pandemic, the US had the same rises due in part to the same mass resignations - if anything at my old place the Americans got higher raises than us and both saw inflation after
@FunVideosPburg @inxsdan@MrTibblesNewEra That’s the great thing, as the bible speaks in broad strokes you can use one to support your position if needed and ask for a specific (what did Jesus say about VAT) to show he’d have supported you on that. It’s a rubber stamp for existing beliefs rather than guidance.
