#Lions’ Jameson Williams has encouraged his teammates to be more visible in Detroit and got his wish as he, Kerby Joseph, Terrion Arnold and Carlton Davis held a Winter Coat Drive at @DBGDetroit. While preparing for the Bills, they’re treating this like a normal week.
The unspoken competitive advantage:
Daily training decisions.
Every day coaches and practitioners will wrestle with:
• How many reps
• At what intensity
• With what recovery
• You see an athlete looks tired, what do you do?
• When is the next workout or competition?
With each choice, you move closer to or further from your north star.
The speed, hybrid or endurance profile of the athlete can 180° change that decision.
Choose wisely.

Justin Fields is a perfect example of Mike Tomlin’s coaching philosophy. Pittsburgh is an organization in sync because of its head coach. We are seeing something similar in Green Bay with Malik Willis. Coach players and make them better!!!
🗣️ “I have a pretty big engine. I used to run cross country. I put a lot of mileage in, a lot of stuff like that. So when I dropped down to an 800, 1500 runner before, and then I dropped down to the 400 and worked on foot speed and a lot of jumps, I always had the strength.”
You know what they say: Strength = speed 🤷♂️
After winning the 400m Olympic title, @QuincyHall400 shares that he actually used to be a cross country runner before dropping down to the middle distance events, and ultimately, the sprints.

Pro tip for college athletes turning pro - Injury Prevention.
5 tips below👇🏾
1. Dynamic stretching before and static stretching after is important. Make sure to have a good warm up and cool down routines.
2. Use the correct shoes. Walk barefoot a lot that helps reduce bunions as well. I buy toe separators to help with mine. Your feet affects your whole body. Work ground up to reduces imbalance and posture problems.
3. Stay hydrated. When you’re dehydrated your body doesn’t get much electrolytes which can cause your muscles them to cramp or spasm.
4. Prioritize Recovery. See a chiropractor, physio, massage therapist regularly to help recovery. Other ways that can help speed up recovery - sauna, cold tub or contrast bath, red light therapy, hyperbaric chamber, PEMF therapy, dry needling.
5. Find a good trainer that assesses your body first and works on a program that’s specific to you. Unilateral work outs help imbalances.
6. Listen to your body. Less is more. Do not ignore pain or discomfort that may indicate an injury during practice. That last rep after feeling something might lead to an injury.
