Over the weekend I replied to a former player with what I thought was an obvious joke poking fun at flat earth arguments, and doubled down by what I also thought were very obvious tongue-in-cheek "explanations" referencing Nick Bostrom's simulation theory. It clearly didn’t land that way and was taken out of context.
I'll take responsibility for the confusion and be more mindful in the future.
A harsh truth: Coaching humbles you.
It forces you to see that the nice and neat world of research based guidelines or exacting training recommendations just doesn't work.
The real world is messy. So when it comes to training advice, look for those who have coached.
