Aspirational heartlands, betting on Starmer's technocracy, soured fast.

Ideological rot accelerated the fall. Desperate to counter Reform, Starmer lurched right Enoch Powell echoes on migration, keeping the two child benefit cap. Progressives rebelled four MPs suspended, Zarah Sultana defected with Corbyn over Gaza and cuts. Social media seethed "Two child cap, no wealth tax, failed rail nationalisation Labour's dead." Young voters and liberals fled to Greens who are now level in some seats working class seats bled to Reform. A Welsh by election shattered Labour's grip 47-36% to Plaid and Reform.

Then, all at once the November budget apocalypse. Reneging on no tax pledges ignited fury. "Shameless contract rip up," roared critics. Polls plunged MPs plotted coups. McSweeney's control freakery turned ministers to puppets. "Labour's imploding," trended online. Galloway predicted Starmer gone by May.

Labour's hubris was fatal mistaking anti Tory loathing for love, they offered KPIs, not vision. Populism filled the void Reform eyes 300+ seats. Voters fragment Greens, Reform, independents. Trust shattered only 20% ever truly backed them.

Labour's tale is simple erode promises slowly, drown in consequences suddenly. Britain endures Starmer's heirs must learn authenticity or oblivion. The bitter laugh echoes history's pivot.
