@SianD91_ Not sure it is of academic help but-Despondency- the spiritual teachings of Evagrius (Bunge), Acedia & Me (Norris).Evagrius was deemed a heretic but he was largely responsible for the “deadly sin” concept. Also…desertfathers.blogspot has a good bibliography.
