Modern Ireland appears to have some issues
Lately we've seen:
"refugees are welcome"
vs.
"they're economic migrants"
Two politically opposed sides talking past each other.
However, the subject of today's thread 🧵(76) IS specifically about those "can do no wrong" media darlings:
The "Refugee" and the "Asylum Seeker"
Gardaí have just arrived at protest site in Santry in large numbers, forced protestors out of the way and moved 3 bus loads of foreign men into the building.
Please share.
This is an escalation.
As an Irish person in Ireland I now fear for my safety. In less than 3 months there has been 3 terrorist attacks in Dublin by foreign men using knives. 3 of the victims children under 6.
What sitting TD is willing to organise a protest for Irish people like me living in fear??
@Independent_ie What "crisis"?
The "crisis" where the Irish govt OPTS into taking a never ending stream of "refugees & asylum seekers" when they don't have to?
The "crisis" where they run out of accommodation AND don't decide to turn around MORE people arriving when they could easily do so?
When it's positive, mention it.
When it's negative, don't mention it.
Our society can't sustain itself on the childish whims of journalists (wannabe elites) looking down on the chessboard, deciding what moves should be made.
Well If that's where we're going then I would also ask:
What is the relevance of mentioning THIS man's nationality?
We're all just PEOPLE on this piece of rock after all, no?
Gript Media Editor John McGuirk on recent criticism from politicians and other journalists: We don't censor news just because politicians believe the public might think the wrong thing if they heard the facts.

Another foreigner committing crime in Ireland and walking free because of "mental health issues".
The Algerian stabber walked free from court in May because of "mental health issues".
6 months later he stabbed children.

Last week the Algerian school attacker grabbed most of the headlines and this slipped under the radar.
Algerian immigrant jailed for sexually assaulting a schoolgirl.
@JohnGavan4@Reunify32 Are foreigners that randomly attack and stab Irish people a specific race of their own?
Well, I'm racist against THOSE people.
We also, wonderfully, have an option to get rid of those people, we're just not using it though.
I think we should START using it.
@jenties87 It makes much more sense when you add THIS to all the other crime on Irish people by the trash of the world, let in and fascilitated by the Irish govt.
But hey, you know what?
All of it doesn't matter, we'll be back to business tomorrow, STILL letting in the trash of the world.
