Normalise not forcing people to choose you. If someone genuinely believes they can find something better somewhere else, let them go. Let them explore. Let them make their own choices without begging them to stay or trying to convince them that you’re worth choosing. You shouldn’t have to compete for a place in someone’s life. And if someone needs to lose you to realise what they had, that realisation doesn’t need to become your responsibility. Let people choose what they want. If they think they can find better elsewhere, respectfully let them try. The people who are meant to stay won’t need to be convinced to choose you.
