Woke up from my hibernation - probably a sign for a market top ๐
Is this space still called Fintwit or is it FinX now? I feel like a boomer asking that
@elonmusk@DOGE Can you wait to do it until mid summer? Would be a real pain in the ass for this to happen while majority of taxes are being submitted, processed, and refunded/paid.
@WallStreetSilv If they are expecting bond prices to go down and have too much exposure to short-term bonds with high prices and low yields it could be a simple de-risking maneuver
@Remzztrades What 1-2 things did you focus on, or never stray from, in the first 10k? I feel like from there it starts getting easier with good risk management
@unusual_whales Kind of sounds like they just want rate cuts. The job market has tightened a lot but that was coming. Assuming GDP stays around estimates they could still do their 1-2 cuts, wait for 3-6 months, then re-assess.
@alifarhat79 First reaction is that balancing the budget and getting a blow job from an aide is clearly the path to generational wealth (cough Bill). Second reaction is that somehow the only guy who was extremely wealthy left with less money lol not that the others were poor but ya know
Closed yesterday before close around 8.6 for a small profit - got spooked a little bit but should have stuck to my guns.
$SPY 516 5/17 Straddle up above 10 today. Right move with poor execution!
Missed a good chance to close this a little short of the 25% TP early this morning. Slept in and didn't set a limit order yesterday. See if we can get some Friday magic with $SPY battling around 520 right now
$SPY 516 5/17 Straddle leading into CPI next week. We also got a pretty large move after #FOMC
With no strong move today seemed like a good time to take a position looking for the next leg (up or down)
Will cut this at 25% profit or if we chop sideways into Friday
@unusual_whales Are you able to match the buy orders with sell orders or is more of a 'best guess' by tracking sell orders for that same call and general sizing?
@nobrainflip Are there any other stories of similar retail trades like this historically? Interested to see if this is one of the biggest retail plays of all time
Been so good at keeping my risk low around 5-10% for each position, then $GME comes along today and ruins that
Swinging 5/17 34 C
Hopefully @TheRoaringKitty has memes and videos qued up all week ๐
I hope the people who believed or diamond-handed $GME from 2021 on use this recent move as a way to get out. Options trading and somewhat 'boring' market action probably keep this going for a little bit but the shorting conditions aren't the same as they were back then
@ShardiB2 Would be such a gangster move - 'Dumb Money 2: I'm one of them now'. He buys up $GME with profits during his 3-year abstinence from X to save for one more giant nut. Spoiler - him and Ken Griffin worked together this time
