Graham Mills, of Mills v Mills fame, calls for wider divorce reform at @TimesLaw debate, saying the judiciary currently reinforce patriarchy and fly in the face of equality.
With huge thanks to @GrahamMills1 one of the most solid guys you'll ever meet. I wish him ongoing luck on his journey towards justice for divorced men globally 👏👏👏
Just finished a powerful, raw & emotive interview with my pal Graham Mills @GrahamMills1 who yesterday at Supreme Court (partly) overturned his “cash machine for life” divorce rule. Look out for it in a quality newspaper soon 👍🏻
@ValLeGrice@BaronessDeech Judges are good at their job? Excusing financial recklessness, excusing lying about ability to work, excusing people working more than 3 days a week despite being capable, excusing wasting money intended to safely house them and a child, making an ex husband pick up the bill etc
@ValLeGrice@BaronessDeech You can only increase from zero certainty. Children are priority, shared care in law, equality, and both parents working like many ‘intact families’. The old school legal mindset need ousting, families should not be in court, children need both parents and parents need certainty
So why refuse to reform a law that achieves so little; where spousal maintenance reduces Universal Credit £ for £; riddled with uncertainty; Supreme Ct keeps changing principles; huge legal costs only benefit lawyers? https://t.co/oLte8x7iPJ
To all the dad’s out there being loving providers, Happy Father’s Day .
To all the dad’s burdened with imbalanced divorce, settlement and custody laws, but continuing to put your kids needs first, Happy Father’s Day.
To my beautiful dad, Happy Father’s Day.
Many thanks for the ongoing support.
My case will be heard at the Supreme Court on Wednesday 6th June 2018. Anyone can attend, see here for details. https://t.co/Dx0xX3HSbB
Such an obviously sensible outcome will have legal costs of £100Ks to achieve, & produced fresh principles for litigators to work at. Who benefits? Reform now! https://t.co/Y76eRLkyne
#ComeHome it’s about time @BBCOne got cameras into every day family courts. Witness first hand the lies, fabrications, allegations and bias that exists. Only then will people realise the depravity that is divorce and child care proceedings. There truly are no winners @MoJGovUK
A big thank you to everyone who donated to my legal fees. I have sufficient to pay the Supreme Court fees & my legal team have said they will not charge their fees because they believe in my case & the affect it could have on everyone. See FB update https://t.co/iR243qpzA4
