Share it with someone who doesn’t know complete picture of Jantar Mantar Protest on October 10 🙏
October 10 Jantar Mantar gathering is a clash between a claimed right to assemble and a live prohibitory order that the courts have not set aside
5 things youn should know before making a move 🙏
1. Permission
Delhi Police has refused it. The application arrived on 7 October; practice asks for about ten days’ notice. Police also cite the July protest, capacity, traffic and safety. Organisers say Article 19(1)(b) already covers peaceful assembly. That right is real, and it allows restrictions for public order.
2. The order in force
Section 163 BNSS bars assemblies of five or more, processions and dharnas in New Delhi without permission. Police say any gathering tomorrow is illegal.
3. What the Supreme Court did, and did not do
On 9 October it ruled only on transport: no total Metro shutdown, trains in a regulated way, and a traffic advisory. It did not stay the denial or Section 163. Until a court says otherwise, the assembly is unauthorised.
4. What police have planned
Detention centres in all 15 districts, blocking points, and orders to stop people locally. Those who refuse to turn back are to be detained.
5. The charges if people gather
Section 223 BNS: up to six months, or up to a year if it causes danger or a riot. An unlawful-assembly charge can cover acts by others. July brought detentions, force and FIRs; some were later quashed. That is not protection on the day.
6. Please do note
Speech needs no approval. A mass gathering under an order the court has not suspended is a separate legal act.
So, if you are only moving around the city
Many Metro stations are restricted from Friday night, some trains into New Delhi and Nizamuddin are cancelled in the morning, diversions start early, and internet is suspended near Janpath. The court said not to freeze the city. It did not open the site.
So, the present situation is:
Permission refused
Section 163 in force
No court order allowing the gathering
Detention plan ready
The constitutional point is undecided 🙏
Make informed decisions only and don’t fall for rumours as they can cause serious harm 🙏

The New Delhi Declaration has been adopted unanimously at the BRICS Summit 2026. A grouping that represents nearly 49% of the world’s population has put its weight behind issues India has consistently raised before the world.
The Pahalgam terrorist attack of 22 April 2025, which took 26 innocent lives, has been condemned in the strongest terms. But the declaration goes much further.
It calls for zero tolerance against terrorism. It rejects double standards. It specifically speaks of cross-border movement of terrorists, terror financing and safe havens. And it calls for concerted action against all UN-designated terrorists and terrorist entities.
That is significant.
There are other important wins for India too. China and Russia have reiterated support for India playing a greater role at the UN, including the Security Council. BRICS has recognised the transformative potential of Digital Public Infrastructure and congratulated India for successfully hosting the AI Impact Summit. The declaration also commends the progress made under India's BRICS Chairship.
Countries with very different strategic interests and foreign policy positions have unanimously agreed to a declaration in New Delhi that reflects several of India's longstanding priorities. It also voices serious concern over unilateral tariffs and non-tariff measures that distort trade and are inconsistent with WTO rules, while opposing unilateral coercive measures that are contrary to international law.
India is increasingly shaping what is discussed at the table. 🇮🇳

LoP Shri @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia continue to shamelessly exploit students as political tools to manufacture disruption during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Shri @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia chose to stage a dharna outside the Hon'ble Prime Minister's residence , causing inconvenience to the public and disregarding established security protocols.
Even after Government conveyed its readiness for a comprehensive discussion, the Congress chose political spectacle over democratic debate. Their objective was never solutions for students, it was disruption for political headlines
For Rahul Gandhi, this is not about students. This is about manufacturing confrontation after every genuine avenue for discussion has been opened.
Our Government remains 100% committed to discussing NEET and addressing every genuine concern of our youth on the floor of the House. The students of India deserve far better than being treated as props in a political campaign. They deserve certainty over chaos, solutions over slogans and responsibility over disruption.
We owe our students more than outrage. We owe them answers, reforms and accountability. That is exactly what our government remains committed to delivering.

History has been written today.
On 10 June 2026, Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji completes 4,399 consecutive days in office, surpassing the 4,398 days of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji, to become the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in the history of our Republic.
Pause for a moment and reflect on what this truly means.
India is not a nation in the ordinary sense. It is a civilisation of 1.4 billion souls. A land of 22 scheduled languages and hundreds of dialects; of many faiths, castes, communities and creeds; of countless regions and walks of life, living side by side. We are the world's largest democracy, with an electorate of nearly 98 crore, more than the people living in all of Europe. This makes ours perhaps the most complex electoral exercise across the globe.
And yet, out of these 1.4 billion people, the same leader has been entrusted with the nation: again, and again, and again. 2014. 2019. 2024. Three successive mandates from the people of India, each one a renewed act of faith.
To win the trust of so vast and diverse a nation even once is remarkable. To win it three times over, without a break, is extraordinary.
Consider, too, how different the two eras are. Pandit Nehru ji earned his mandate in the formative decades of the Republic, an age of one-party dominance in which the Congress towered over a young and fragmented opposition. Narendra Modi ji has earned his in a far more demanding democracy: the age of coalitions, of powerful regional forces and fierce multi-party competition. And he has met that challenge in full: winning absolute majorities in his own right in 2014 and 2019 (the first single-party majorities since 1984), and then forging and leading a victorious coalition in 2024. To command the trust of so fiercely contested a nation, mandate after mandate, is by any measure the harder achievement.
On this historic occasion, I bow to the wisdom of the Indian voter and salute the Hon'ble Prime Minister's tireless devotion to the nation.
May he be blessed with robust health and a long life, and may the people of Bharat grant him many more mandates in the service of our motherland.
@narendramodi
