@vfgava@whhatisachoice@Chartfest1 I used to use it to find divergences. But after using it for a while you can spot the momentum divergences from looking at the price action. It’s just another pattern your eyes get trained to once you’ve seen it enough imo
@ThePath2Profit Only one of these 2 you literally can’t give your money to even if you wanted to. No offense to MM, great books… but Qullamaggie got it all from the markets then gave away the info for free 🤷♂️
One of my favorite Stanley Druckenmiller quotes.
“People always forget that 50% of a stock’s move is the overall market, 30% is the industry, and maybe 20% from stock picking.”

How to make money in stocks (book) has a ton of charts and is a classic.

@NewLowObserver has a ton of very old charts as well on his Twitter account.

Thank @Qullamaggie for most of the above.
Common behavior from a lot of market participants is this: People are dead quiet near lows/consolidation and then they shout from the rooftops after price has already moved huge.
For me, over the years I’ve tried to learn to execute via the opposite. When it’s dead quiet and nobody wants stocks, that’s when you should be zoned in and laser focused…. Even if something is down more than the traditional “x % off highs” (gasp, the horror 😂). Then when the crowd catches on after a move and start to post rocket emojis and p&l screenshots, that’s when I like reducing (don’t have to sell out completely, but I prefer selling into strength vs weakness).
But again, that’s just one person’s opinion and I’m aware people have different time frames. Sentiment and your own emotional self-awareness isn’t everything, but it’s a key layer to add to your arsenal (and sure, there are always exceptions, “anything can happen” in the market).
Good markets mask bad behavior, it will eventually catch up with you if you aren’t disciplined, so keep following your own plan rules and try to execute without emotion. Hope everyone has a great weekend.🍻
