2/2 posts HEROES STILL AT WORK
Britain is suffering from a litter epidemic. It's a national disgrace. Imagine how even more terrible the country would look if it wasn't for the dedication of thousands of litterpickers. However, this is not enough. We must turn off the litter taps, for good. We have a plan to do so. @Riskyphilski
Filmed this afternoon less than half a mile from Birmingham city centre. A typical sight in the alleged ‘second city’ of Britain. We should all be ashamed, embarrassed and angry about this rancid and squalid city.
Britain is filthy. Rubbish is everywhere. Drive anywhere, all you see is litter filling the sides of motorways. It's the same in parks. Any green space is just bursting with cans, crisp packets, bits of plastic. It is disgusting.
Clearly, people need to take responsibility and clean up their own filth. But we all know that isn't going to happen.
The solution?
If a healthy individual on benefits has refused work over and over, make them work. Litter picking, five days a week. Don't like it? No benefits.
Cut them off from their universal credit if they refuse.
It really is that simple. Provide a reasonable time period to find a job in the field they choose, but that cannot go on forever.
Can Britain afford to have millions of healthy Brits sitting on their arse all day doing sod all?
Obviously not. I say let's get them cleaning up Britain.
If you can contribute, you must contribute.
Very sadly, he's right...
"Britain has the worst litter problem in the developed world. It’s bad for the spirit to walk through filth."
David Sedaris, American comedian and avid litter-picker living in the UK

Former No 10 Director of Strategy says "politicians have given away too much power to quangos" He's right.

Failing and unaccountable quangos such as @NationalHways and @EnvAgency are prime examples.
China just turned the night sky into a masterpiece of precision and intelligence. 🌌
What struck me most about this is how seamlessly innovation turns into art.
A drone show in Chongqing just broke the Guinness World Record with 11,787 synchronized drones, creating breathtaking 3D animations that looked closer to CGI than real life.
No human pilots.
No delays.
No crashes.
Every movement guided by AI and GPS, choreographed with perfect timing.
To me, this is far more than a light show.
It’s a glimpse into how technology, creativity, and coordination can merge to shape a new era of expression and innovation.
When intelligence takes flight, it doesn’t just illuminate the sky — it redefines what’s possible.
Could this be the moment where technology begins to turn the world itself into its stage?

We have to face facts. Much of Britain’s infrastructure is crumbling and decayed. Signs like this need maintaining, and mean absolutely NOTHING, unless there is enforcement. Failing Councils need to be accountable instead of treated as some sort of protected species.
