Argument doesn't hold dew, let alone water.
The language used on their own digital storefront when looking to PURCHASE expansion packs for games runs in complete conflict of this idea and clearly communicates ownership of titles bought on their platform to the layman consumer.
Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft should all be legally forced to change the language on their digital stores.
When you click "Buy" on a store it implicitly gives the impression that you own the game.
Change it instead to "Rent". It would significantly harm their sales guaranteed.
A player turned on his old PS3 to play Metal Gear Solid 4, but found that he could no longer access his digital games.
His PlayStation account was deleted after years of inactivity and all games linked to the account were no longer accessible.
“Sony deleted my whole account due to inactivity…. I hate Sony but this just made me hate them more.”
Sony’s terms allow accounts to be closed after 36 months of continuous inactivity, although users are supposed to be notified and given time to log back in.
Good reminder that you don’t own your digital games on playstation
@Oiarjunrathore My bravia 9 was ten times that and I would have paid the 100 bucks for gta 6 too, but not to rent a license. Only bought the PS5 Pro because I was able to slap a disc drive onto it. If GTA 6 isn't released physically then it's a hard pass from me.
REPORT: PlayStation is claimed to be considering delaying their digital-only future because XBOX is willing to go physical next generation🚀
✅Microsoft is allegedly telling publishers its next console, Project Helix will be entirely physical and will allow users to convert physical games into digital copies.
✅Sony reportedly realized that forcing a digital-only approach leaves a massive opening for competitors to capitalize on consumer demand for physical games.
✅A major unnamed game publisher (confirmed not to be Rockstar) reportedly threatened to skip PlayStation and release their massive upcoming title only on XBOX and Nintendo if Sony couldn't guarantee a physical release.

Keep up the pressure! We can win this!💪🏼
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
@Pirat_Nation Last argument is pretty stupid. Easy counter is that a digital copy is sold, not the original data itself, and each copy sold is unique to that customer. But whatever, all the more reason to preserve physical that doesn't require a remote connection to their servers.
The US government has launched a major operation to find CyberLeek, the person who leaked GTA 6.
Why didn't you mobilize as much effort for the Epstein file?
You're disgraceful...
@Chuckhollywoodd@AJ7_MUFC@carlmarston@seanaintsmart Doesitplay tracks games that don't need a download to Internet subscription to play. The majority of PlayStation games don't require a download or update to play. Ignorance is bliss for people who actually think game discs require Internet to play. Vast majority don't.
@RockstarGames Don't act like you care when you took away ownership. This will be the first GTA that I won't be able to play due to your greed. Fuck you and Sony for shutting the door on us 🖕🖕
