@Comm3724Shakes The environment affects our mood, interactions and behavior. If there's tension at home or workplace a person will be tense too. Most of the people who had traumatic experiences at a younger age also find themselves living with trauma after years because of the surroundings.
@Comm3724Shakes I think is works both ways depending on the individual. There's apps and information that could help one stay positive and deal with issues but there's also information on how one could harm himself or herself. Technology has all the good impacts if given to the right person.
@Comm3724Ntsiki Yes. People who have mental illness may neglect their diets and other healthy habits. For instance eating disorders ( mental health issue), if one eats less than or more than what they should their physical well-being will be affected.
@Comm3724Ntsiki Yes. It can be. Psychiatric disorders including bipolar disorder, atyenyion deficit hyperactivity disorder ( ADHD), autism, major depression and Schizophrenia. Genetics do have an impact sometimes.
@comm3724Calvin I won't lie, not everyone is privilege but speaking about stuff helps, whether to a free or church adviser. There are services like South African Depression and Anxiety Group and Ithemba counselling center all in SA. You can also visit https://t.co/tBGlCFUCYW for more info.
@MComm3724 There's steps one could take but there's no sure way of preventing mental health. It is advisable to eat healthy, exercise and manage your stress levels as an individual. Also try to enjoy life in general with friends and loved ones. Just maintain a healthy lifestyle.
@SefikaComm3724 Yes, one can have a mental illness and not be aware of it but most of the times the signs are there just that some people are in denial. You can do self-assessment but diagnosing needs to be left for health professionals. A doctor's opinion is needed to avoid misdiagnosis.
