Reminder:

Police are trained to believe everyone is against them and that everyone is attempting to prevent them from going home to their families.

Thus, they treat you as a criminal with a weapon ready to use it on them. Hence, they are ready to deploy deadly force instantly.

Some basic tenets of humanity:

- to be alive is to have intrinsic dignity
- to be alive is to have intrinsic worth
- to be alive is to have the right to live

Any system that routinely invalidates these is immoral, untenable, unsustainable.

I've had zero police training, but I can say with certainty that I can tell the difference between a taser and an actual firearm.
