@atrocityTCG wym terrible for collectors? You probably mean terrible for investors, which is fine. It's a card game not an investment. There are so many great old cards to collect, it's not always about the raw value of cards.
@TierZoo Following your analogy: If the dude didn't go to the restaurant for 20 years and the restaurant adapted to what the newer customer base developed to like within the last 20 years, how the hell can he expect the restaurant to cater to him now after 20 years of absence?
@DistantCoder There are several reasons to not allow that.
You are totally fine to do that in casual play. As soon as you step into the tournament environment, we definitely should follow a general rule code, which includes legal cards. Also, obviously, Konami wants to sell their cards.
@Krojak_YGO@Gnurrgard wym longterm? This doesn't make any sense. Several decks played it 3 times and now cut down to 1 or 2. Most decks don't even play it at all.
@Krojak_YGO@Gnurrgard 0 of the Top 8 Decks at YCS Dortmund played 3 copies.
1 of the Top 8 Decks at YCS Richmond played 3 copies
1 of the Top 8 Decks at YCS Guadalajara played 3 copies (which was Branded Despia).
@Joe_Stephens254 @TrifGaming Is it though? Pkmn Regios pay 1k for T32 and 2k for T16. About half of the cash winnings is deducted for taxes and money handling.
In YGO you get Mat + Trooper for T32, which is about 500 bucks. For T16 you also get Veiler which is 1.5-2k.
That's actually more you get for ygo.
