My mission with DoBetterDNVR is to bring Denver’s drug and homelessness crisis into the spotlight by sharing videos and information.
I run my Instagram and X accounts with zero monetization, driven purely by a commitment to truth, transparency, and accountability—not chasing cash, clout, or likes. I answer to no one—no special interests, no puppet-masters pulling strings.
Through this platform, I aim to reveal the entrenched corruption undermining our city: Elected officials leveraging their positions for personal benefit, Execs suppressing critical data to safeguard their roles, and a system structured to perpetuate dysfunction rather than resolve it.
Now, 100,000 of you (on IG, + 19k on X) are on this ride with me, and it’s your unwavering support—your submissions, your comments, your shares—that’s carried us this far. Together, we will continue to display the abject failures of corrupt and complicit out-of-touch liars while advocating for real change. #lfg 🚀🌕
Hey Denver,
The Municipal Sentencing Reform bill is on Council’s agenda for Monday.
Apparently revisions have been made that will get the bill the votes it needs and will avoid the Mayor’s veto. The final bill has not yet been added to Legistar.
If the Committee section is intact and still pre-selects NGO reps ideologically aligned with the bill sponsors and continues to require disparate impact analysis in future DRMC criminal code changes we are in for a wild pro-criminal, anti-business DSA ride.
You’ve been warned.
thank you for getting violent criminals off our streets, @AuroraPD
I wish @DenverPolice would post mugshots and murder arrests but Mayor Mikey and progressive bureaucracy have them under gag order.
A man has been arrested in connection with a June 7 shooting that left another man dead.
About 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, Aurora patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in an alley between the 1400 blocks of Dallas and Clinton streets. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Officers performed life-saving actions on the man until medical responders arrived at the scene. The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators learned that a group of people were outside in the alley when an argument ensued. One man subsequently opened fire, killing the victim. The suspect ran from the scene before our officers arrived.
Extensive follow-up was conducted and detectives ultimately identified the suspect as 50-year-old Carlos Zarco. He was arrested by the department's Fugitive and Narcotics Unit on June 17 on a warrant for second-degree murder.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Aurora detectives are still interested in speaking with any witnesses who may have additional information on this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867).
Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Denver’s Office of the Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in the June 11 crash on I-70 near Steele as Dallas Doherty, 35.
Public records show his last known address was the Meth Western All-In Mile High hotel.
Hey @denversmayor was Dallas a participant in the AIMH program at the time of his death?
Dallas had a lengthy Colorado criminal record with 15 arrest cycles from 2012 to 2025:
💊 2021: Drug felony conviction: suspended DOC sentence + probation
💊 2022: Drug misdemeanor conviction: probation revoked & reinstated
💊 2024: Fentanyl possession: deferred sentence
💰 2025: Burglary 2nd degree, criminal mischief + trespass: 12 months probation
His record shows a clear pattern of escalating drug offenses, repeated protection order violations, theft, burglary, and ongoing probation problems. Multiple charges were dismissed by the DA, yet he continued facing serious convictions.
He was on probation at the time of his death.
If the justice system actually held repeat offenders accountable instead of cycling them through with light sentences, would Dallas still be alive today?
🚨 Vincent “PILL” Houston has a criminal history with 64 arrest cycles from 1986 to June 2026.
On 6/13/2026 at 11:23am Houston was booked into jail for Attempted Murder after deliberation and 1st Degree Assault (SBI + Deadly Weapon). Incident date of 6/13. He currently is being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.
Earlier on 6/13/2026 at 7:55am Houston was picked up on an FTA warrant for a drugs and trespassing case.
At 7:56 am… he was released on a $0 PR bond.
Sooo…does this mean he attempted to murder someone between being released on a PR bond at 7:56am before he was arrested again for attempted murder and booked at 11:23am? or was the attempted murder earlier in the morning on 6/13? Either way, absolute lunacy.
Some of his other notable arrests include:
💊2017: 2nd Degree Assault (drugging victim) → 5 years DOC
🩸1998: 2nd Degree Assault + Theft → 3 years DOC
🔪Multiple prior 1st Degree Assault arrests + Burglary 2nd Degree felonies
💊💊Felony drug distribution & possession (including 4 years DOC)
💨Repeated Flight/Escapes + dozens of Parole Violations
Long pattern of violence, drugs, theft & reoffending while on supervision. Why do we continue giving people chances when they keep proving they do nothing but harm society?
Hey @DenverPolice did you respond to Fusion Coalition Studios last night around 9pm for a resident with a KNIFE!? (3737 Quebec)
Putting drug addicted vagrants into apartments / hotel rooms does not temper the chaos, it just disperses it.
