Red Flag warnings are in effect for portions of SoCal Mon-Wed.
Red Flag Warnings are in effect for much of LA and Ventura Counties, with a PARTICULARY DANGEROUS SITUATION for the #SantaAnaWind corridor starting at 8 pm tonight!

VCFD, CAL FIRE and our cooperators strongly discourage anyone from flying a UAS (Uncrewed Aircraft Systems) in or near a wildland fire. Flying a drone near a wildfire can be extremely dangerous for pilots and aircraft in the immediate area. Valuable firefighting aircraft can be grounded due to these actions, impeding the chance to quickly extinguish a fire

#MountainFire This is an important message from California American Water.Due to fires in the region, we are urging all customers to voluntarily restrict all non-essential water use. California American Water is encouraging customers to refrain from outdoor watering and to curb non-essential water use until further notice. Limiting water usage during this important time helps firefighters by ensuring a readily available water supply for their fire suppression efforts

#MountainFire
Today's #MountainFire is an example of how quickly dangerous fires can spread during high wind events like this week's #redflagwarning๐ฉ. Windy, dry conditions will continue through tomorrow morning, so make sure you're prepared should a fire start in your area.
#MountainFire UPDATE:
The fire has crossed Highway 118 and is now impacting the Camarillo Heights area. Evacuation orders are in effect, and we urge residents to follow these orders for their safety. Several individuals have been injured and transported to local hospitals. Numerous structures are currently threatened.
Due to extreme wind conditions, fixed-wing aircraft are unable to assist in firefighting efforts. Ground crews, helicopters and mutual aid resources are actively working to protect lives and property.

Let's make sure we stick the landing and finish with no vote left undeclared and counted.
Democracy, for the win.
ATTENTIONโผ๏ธ All Cobb County, Georgia voters who didn't receive their absentee ballots in time for the election. Georgia's Supreme Court overturned a lower court's decision that absentee voters could have an extended deadline to protect voters' constitutional right to vote. The November 8 extension is no longer in effect.
Since Cobb County ballots went out late, some ballots will not be in be in mailboxes by Tuesday. People who requested an absentee ballot and didn't receive one must visit the county's elections office in Marietta to VOTE IN PERSON.
If you are turned away at the polls, your response [verbatim] should be as follows: โGive me a provisional ballot with a receipt, as required by law.โ
Pass it on.
I mean, it's literally exactly what I said would happen:
1. Someone gets a ballot that randomly assigned the candidate they don't like at the top and the one they like at the bottom.
2. They run to Twitter with a photo about how the state in question is biased.
3. The tweet goes viral because people are outraged.
4. No one thinks for a moment to check how candidate order is actually determined (in CA it's randomized).
5. Suddenly a bunch of people have even less faith in systems than they had before.
IT'S THE INTERNET Y'ALL...IT IS A MONSTER THAT DEVOURS TRUST.
