@SmurfItUpShow I’m so excited! It’s a 2-week peds block and I’m the only MD teaching them. I also get an adjunct faculty appointment for it. Very grateful to have found yet another great gig outside of mainstream medical academia.

I left full-time academics 8 years ago, but found ways to keep teaching:

- I teach residents at locums sites
- I am part-time faculty teaching the pediatrics block to PA students
- I am a test question writer for Qbanks and board review courses.

The biggest negotiation mistake I see doctors make is cutting off contact with a facility or recruiter after a lowball offer.

@DocDifferently this is why I do locums. Is it hard to be away from my family… Absolutely. But when I’m with my family, I’m 100% present.
