Peculiar little thing, drawing anything and nothing.
Poor, old geezer. Yelling into the void, really.

I won't hold you, there is no guarantee that I'll ever be consistent on a social account because I simply don't care enough and art is something I do for myself primarily. Still, there's a lot of pieces that are in the drafts that I wanna share just cause I'll never touch them.🧵

I was semi-active for a minute 'dere! HAD THE PEOPLE GOIN' FOR A MINUTE 'DERE!!!

Coming back to the online space and seeing posts from artist that I had been following waaayyyyy back when has been such as treat.

Just purchased Paint Tool Sai #GROWTH #earlybirdgetsdaworm

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

My work was not great in my teens and I was working to find what it meant to truly be ME. but these younger artists I see? Oh, nastyyyyy. And I can't wait to see how the next gen shows up. So neat!

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

I will always find digital art community eras and resource access interesting. Each year there's more info for improving your work, schools take art classes more seriously, etc. And you can tell bc bro these new gen artists be COLD ASFFFF and only like 16-20 yo

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

Mmm I kinda want a lil art friend or two that I can hop on Discord calls with and chit chat while we both draw.

Mfs with no followers still tweeting (im the mf)

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

This site is convenient but it doesn't really seem like Twitter is the move for posting your work. It's a little tooooo AI friendly in these parts.

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

Ahaha man what in the world is an AI artist? Seems like everybody wants a piece of the pie without actually baking that ho

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

"Art share thread, show me your best work!" And they're really in the comments posting pictures, overly proud, acting like typing some words into a prompt is something significant.

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@itsCakeChan loveeee, that's truly the fantasy ❤️

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@acidkeylime You're right and you should keep saying it. One of my biggest gripes with online art communities is that they're soooo coddly and virtue signaling! Truth is: if you want to be taken seriously as an artist and IMPROVE, you need to be comfortable with challenge and discomfort.

Update: Paint Tool Sai will be JUST fine, actually (I can't find a way to create my signature brushes lol).

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

About to play around with Clip Studio Paint but I'm lowk afraid that it will make me retract my long standing allegiance to Paint Tool Sai

@glubo11 Haven't come across them before. They were very ahead of their time!

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@wildxmerry20 Nanaco chan is such a strong character design that for a good while I thought she was an official character from an anime or video game

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@itsCakeChan Hi I need to let you know that you are one of my favorite anime/moe artists of all time. I've been following you since the deviantart days when you had the heavily rendered style. With every evolution of your work I'm always in awe. ❤️

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@glubo11 Like any highlights would be set on a luminosity layer and be BRIGHT and sharp. Hair would be a lot sharper and segmented by tiny strokes. Etc. Etc. Does any of this make sense lol? Lovely piece btw

[𝐃𝐎𝐂, 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒... @DocDogg_]

@glubo11 This is actually such an interesting question to deconstruct. Yes and no, honestly. The drawing has all of the essence of 2000s more but you can still tell that the technical skills are modern. Old art had a lot more saturated and contrasting colors, and streaky textures imo.
