Passionate about patient care and diabetes. Keen chess player, introspective, self deprecating. Enjoy music and books-all sorts. Always curious, opinions my own
@parthaskar@BCCI What a way🤗 to enjoy one of the greatest sports and one of the greatest games of our time🎉🎉 🇮🇳🎉🎉. Glad to see your dad recovering and warmest wishes from all of us towards a full recovery.
Your passion and commitment for our #t1d community is inspiring, especially considering all that you are going through @parthaskar
The letter ⬇️ provides clarity to all that it will understandably take time to roll out.
Thank you for all that you have done🙏

Whenever doctors go on strike I’m reminded of this heartbreakingly insightful book of what it’s like to be a #juniordoctor
The dehumanisation and trauma of medical training is very real. The absolute very least they deserve is decent pay.

You never know what someone’s going through, hardship, poor health & wealth are destroying so many people
That’s why even the smallest kind gesture can make others feel less alone. It won’t solve their problems but at least you’re not adding to them
Don’t be the tipping point
@parthaskar So sorry to hear this Partha. A very difficult time for all of you. Whilst this loss is irreplaceable, I hope you can find some comfort in a life well lived, many wonderful memories and a powerful legacy left behind to make the world a better place. May your ma rest in peace.
It’s #November
And as ever?
A message for those with #T1Diabetes and of course all the amazing carers
#ClosedLoops?
We are in the end game
Take a deep breath.
Clinicians…Ready? 😊
#gbdoc 💙
601 CT head scans. 5 bleeds, 4 of which predicted by high risk status. So 596 people no benefit from scan and many will have had unseen harm- a trip to ED, fear or pain in scanner, a hospital stay, ‘deconditioning’ aka ‘got worse in hospital’ - we need to change this!
A tip for clinicians how to look at #TimeInRange in #T1Diabetes
And use language which doesn't judge others- especially when you don't live their lives
It's not easy to live with this unremitting condition- so don't be a privileged so-and-so
Much love

A few days away was what was needed
A few days away was what did help
In the middle of…nowhere
To get to a decision around National roles; #T1Diabetes; #ClosedLoops
And my own path….
My top tip?
Always take your breaks ❤️
