Stop saying “no one is working on X issue.”
Not only is it almost always untrue; you’re erasing the existence+struggle of folks who are affected by/doing work on that issue.
Not having publications doesn’t equate to no work being done. Means affected folks don’t have privilege.

@BrianDeLay Often when women discuss this we get called "nags" and to stop making things about race/gender/appearance so I appreciate you putting this out there.
Over the next few weeks, students will get the chance to evaluate their professors and TAs. They're going to get it wrong. They'll be harder on women and people of color than on white men. Tenured white male faculty, in particular, should help their students understand this. 1/8
The truth in this! The amount of Black women who told me it was their first time attending and how affirming the conference was. Some folks attended the regular sessions instead of leaving after the preconference for the first time! I’m happy they were happy ☺️
