Press Release :
Today, AIMSA-FMSW & AFA,FMGs along with Faculties held a peaceful protest at the NBEMS OFFICE & at JANTAR MANTAR regarding the sudden increase in the difficulty level of the FMGE examination and the poor facilities reported at multiple examination centres. Inadequate infrastructure and an unfavorable examination environment caused unnecessary stress and disturbance to candidates during the exam. We believe these factors, along with the unexpected rise in difficulty, contributed to the unusually low FMGE pass percentage this session the lowest seen in several years.
During the meeting, we demanded transparency in the FMGE examination process, accountability for the issues faced by candidates, and a one-time reduction in the qualifying marks considering the exceptional circumstances. We also strongly raised concerns regarding the poor facilities provided at various examination centres.
In response, NBEMS informed us that it will constitute a three-member committee to examine the concerns related to the examination. They also stated that they will coordinate with TCS, review the available evidence, including CCTV footage and reports from examination centres, and take appropriate steps to ensure that such issues do not recur in future FMGE examinations.
Regarding the demand for a one-time reduction in the FMGE qualifying marks, NBEMS stated that such a decision is beyond its authority and can only be taken by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
We sincerely urge the authorities to ensure that the issues faced during this examination are not repeated in the future. We also reiterate our demand for greater transparency in the FMGE process, including the release of the question paper and answer key, so that candidates can have confidence in the evaluation process and their results.
Considering the extraordinary circumstances of this examination including the sudden increase in difficulty and the inadequate examination facilities we request the concerned authorities to consider a one-time reduction in the FMGE qualifying marks and take responsibility for the shortcomings experienced by candidates.
It is important to note that concerns regarding poor examination centre facilities have been raised previously as well by organizations including FAIMA(@FAIMA_INDIA_) and AIMSA-FMSW (@aimsa_fmsw)& AFA(@official_afa_). On behalf of the FMG community and the associations representing them, we once again request NBEMS to address these issues seriously, improve transparency, and ensure that no future FMGE candidate has to face similar hardships.

We need transparency in Fmge . We need good facilities in exam centre with good software this time software is very worst I got 149 because of the software problem .12%percent passing ratio is very less didnt inform about video questi
Internship gives hands-on experience with real patients, yet FMGE treats foreign MBBS grads like they're studying for a geography olympiad rather than proving clinical readiness.

At my INI exam centre, I met a guy who had already cleared FMGE. His mother was proudly saying, “FMGE is so tough, my son cleared it, and his INI exam also went very well.”
After the exam, he casually told me he attempted 197 questions. I attempted 175 and got around 15K rank.
Today his mother called me asking why she cannot find her son’s name in the list 😭
Guys… should I tell her the brutal reality?

As all we expected a simple answer from NBE
They made a Un-justified decision again with all the #fmge students who protested today along with Teachers of some institutions.
Now many Parents are involved in this situation for fair justice from many cities knowing the consequences every student going through the difficulty level of the #Examination which is getting changed for every 6months drastically. Nearly 88% of students has #failed, not due to lack of concept its due to their facilities and changing exam pattern every now n then. Show somehow justice with the pattern of the Examination if you all call it a Screening Exam.

*First NEET, now the FMGE mess!*
The Modi Govt continues to destroy the dreams of middle-class medical aspirants.
By springing major format changes like lengthy, video-based and clinical questions without warning, the NBEMS crashed the pass rate to a shocking 12.78%. Over 31,000 students have failed. Any major changes to the examination format, including the introduction of video-based questions, should be announced well in advance to allow candidates adequate preparation time. Changing the rules of the game on exam day is deliberate elimination, not a fair assessment.
We stand with the Tamil Nadu Medical Students Association. The Ministry of Health must immediately conduct a transparent review and lower the qualifying cutoff for this session!

Hon'ble MP Aga Syed @RuhullahMehdi has written to the Executive Director, NBEMS, highlighting concerns raised by FMGE June 2026 candidates regarding the examination pattern, transparency in the evaluation process, and reported deficiencies at certain examination centres. It is hoped that these concerns receive due consideration in the interest of ensuring fairness, transparency, and the integrity of the examination process
Around 37,000 Indian medical graduates appeared for FMGE 2026, but only about 4,000 qualified, leaving thousands of families distressed. We respectfully request your intervention to ensure transparency and fairness in the FMGE process.

🚨 SHOCKING! 9 OUT OF 10 FOREIGN MBBS GRADUATES FAIL IN INDIA! 🤯
Only 13.58% cleared the mandatory FMGE eligibility exam to practice medicine in India.
Out of 37,448 candidates, just 5,086 passed.
Pass rate dropped from 18.61% in June 2025.
Many students rush abroad after failing to get good NEET ranks, but FMGE (at NEET-level standard) exposes the gap.
Thoughts? 🇮🇳

FMGE aspirants are not here to beg, we are here to demand answers.
Enough of result discrepancies, lack of transparency & mental harassment.
If our future is on the line, NBE must be held accountable.
NBE CHALO. Show up. Speak up. Fight back.

Thousands of FMGs faced major difficulties while appearing for the FMGE due to #poor exam facilities, including non-functional fans, lack of proper air conditioning, and inadequate infrastructure.
The FMGE is an 8-hour-long examination, but the biggest concern this session was the #drastic increase in the difficulty level. Instead of remaining a screening test to assess minimum competency, the exam was made more difficult than NEET PG and INI-CET, turning it into a highly competitive examination.
As a result, nearly 88% of candidates failed, and the passing percentage dropped to around 12%, one of the lowest in recent sessions.
We #DEMAND an immediate reduction in the FMGE qualifying marks and urge the Government and the authorities to take responsibility for both the poor examination facilities and the sudden, unjustified increase in the exam’s difficulty level.
Dear NEET PG aspirants, remember that if such abrupt changes in the exam pattern can happen in FMGE, the same could happen in NEET PG as well.
