I have Tetralogy of Fallot. Today in the PICU, I met a baby who mirrored my situation 28ish years prior. Wasn’t my patient, but I felt so pulled to the room just to say hi and share with the mom what her beautiful little one can one day grow to be. The exchange was everything 🥰

This has been an oddly restorative week, somewhat separated from the grind of medicine to see other ways to impact health - for self, for others. grateful to breathe.
The awkward moment of seeing people you have lent in awhile and they relentlessly ask questions about your personal life, where things have changed dramatically😑…and you haven’t figured out your skirt-skirt lingo yet 👀🤦🏾♀️
