@the_learnaholic Hey Amanda, the @POTGUK1’s aiming to run mock interviews in the new year. We’re looking for more grid trainees to help out. Please DM if interested! 🙂
@vardon91 Personally think grid application should be allowed from ST3. For me, ST4/5 was a painfully slow countdown to starting grid. Sounds like you’d be a solid grid candidate though, so just keep on truckin’!
@vardon91 Def sounds very frustrating. How much “core” training time have you got left? Any part of your OOP count towards this? With Progress+ coming into play, might just need some creative thinking & a supportive deanery. Also, an ACL post would eliminate the grid “Russian roulette”.
@vardon91 Have you considered the SAS route? Might be more aligned with your career goals. Know of a few SAS Drs in Paed Onc working at consultant level. I’m the trainee rep on the oncology CSAC, so happy to chat with the chair about your options if you’d like?
On World Cancer day, SIOP celebrates the success of the CEDAR programme to help paediatricians & community child health workers diagnose childhood cancers earlier. Please share and use to help improve cancer survival chances for every child #WorldCancerDay@WorldSIOP @cci_europe
Today is #WorldCancerDay. Did you know that every day in the UK, 10 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer. With your support we can continue to fund life-saving childhood cancer research and help more children like Alfie.
